This is a small campsite overlooking its own fishing lake and picnic area and enjoys easy access to all the sights and activities in the Royal Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.
Set in quiet rural surroundings but just of main road connecting it to major towns and cities in the area, you're left to your own devices in a peaceful country setting. The site has 30 good sized hardstanding and grass pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes spread over approximately two acres of this 20 acre site and including metered electric hook-ups and a small number of season pitches. Dogs are very welcome and with two fenced exercise areas, a doggy dip, and the forest not far away, your four legged friends will be in their element!

Our full Campsite Rules are on our website.
Main Points:
Charcoal barbecues only, raised off the ground. No fire pits.
Dogs must be kept on a lead or tethered, except when in the dog exercise area or swimming! Dog mess must be picked up immediately. Bins are provided.
This is a quiet site. No outside or loud music at any time. No rowdy behaviour.
There is a lovely lakeside picnic area and walk around the farm across grass and through woodlands next to the stream. For dogs, the site has two fenced dog exercise areas for off lead and on lead walking. There are also public footpaths in the neighbouring fields taking you up the valley towards Lydney and Yorkley.
The Forest of Dean covers 35 square miles and is home to many animals, birds and other creatures, many of which have been spotted on the campsite or close by. Monk Deer regularly visit!
Although the Forest of Dean is a small area, it contains a number of historical buildings, attractions and activities. And because it is a small area, most are within a 20 minute drive!
For history lovers and lovers of architecture Tintern Abbey, Chepstow Castle and Goodrich Castle are all worth a visit. The spectacular scenery at Puzzlewood has been the setting for many films including Merlin and, most recently, Star Wars.
Nearby you'll also find Clearwell Caves where you can discover more about the mining heritage of the area. Likewise, the Dean Heritage Centre.
The braver amongst you may like to visit Littledean Jail, or try rock climbing or a zipwire ride high above the Diving Centre lake, or swinging through the trees at GoApe.
Messing about on the River Wye is also good fun. Canoes, kayaks and paddleboards can all be hired - or for those who prefer to sit back and enjoy the scenery, a cruise boat perhaps.
The Peregrine Path runs alongside the Wye from Goodrich to Monmouth and is suitable for walking, cycling, and for all terrain wheelchairs (with some rough sections). Bikes can be hired from Dean Forest Cycles, approximately two miles the site, or from Pedalabikeaway at Cannop, approximately 4 miles away.
