A welcoming, adult only gem in the heart of the Forest of Dean. Located right on the edge of the woodland, you can start exploring straight from the site. It's close to the Welsh borders and the Wye Valley, where you can spend your days walking, cycling and canoeing. You'll never be bored. Ideal for caravans and motorhomes, ten spacious hardstanding pitches with a 16 amp electric hook up and good facilities nearby. The pitches are large enough for awnings, and there's free WiFi should you need it too. Open all year, experience the true beauty the Forest of Dean offers within any of the four seasons. BBQs and fire pits are allowed and must be raised off the ground and hard standing only. Dogs are welcome.

The ancient Forest of Dean is on your doorstep, waiting to be explored. In medieval times it was a royal hunting forest before becoming a source of timber for the navy's Tudor warships. It was a significant industry site by Victorian times, with coal mining and tramways punctuating the landscape.
Mountain bikers of all abilities have excellent tracks, including single and downhill options close to Hawthorne Cottage.
Mallards Pike (10 minutes) has miles of tracks to discover, several walking trails and running trails ranging from 2km to 10km. The lakeside path has easy access, is flat and reasonably comprehensive and has benches dotted alongside it - good vantage points for watching mandarins and other ducks.
The Clearwell Caves (5 minutes) underneath the mysterious Royal Forest of Dean lies something spectacular and unseen. An unfathomable natural cave system has been mined for more than 4,500 years.
Puzzlewood (5 minutes) is a magical attraction for all ages in the heart of the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Perfect for days out with the kids - explore the mysterious wood, meet the animals, outdoor playground, indoor maze, and more.
National Diving Centre (20 minutes) is home to one of the best inland dive conditions in Europe. It has a range of outdoor activities, including abseiling, the wire zip slide, a giant 3G swing, an outdoor drive-in cinema and flyboards.
