Drakes View Certificated Location is a simple, back to basics site just outside Bovisand Village, great for a stopover on your South West road trip. There are five grass pitches and you can pick where to pitch on arrival. The site is surrounded by rolling countryside and boasts beautiful sea views making for a relaxing stay. You'll also be within easy reach of a sandy beach, Plymouth's Yacht Haven and the city centre. Dogs and BBQs are welcome.

Enjoy a restful stay at this back to basics site along the Devon coast, kept simple with beautiful sea views this site is great for a stopover along the South West coast. You'll be surrounded by rolling green countryside and set next to a golf course if you want a quick drink at the clubhouse! There are just five non electric grass and gravel pitches, welcoming motorhomes, caravans, campervans, roof tents and trailer tents. Guests can choose their own pitches, just ensure that there is at least 6m between you and other campers to give everyone plenty of space to enjoy their holiday! There is a bus stop a 15 minute walk away so you can easily reach the village of Bovisand, Plymouth Yacht Haven and the city centre. Or, for those who prefer walking the South West Coastal Path is a 15 minute walk away and a great way to explore the coastline. If the sun is shining then the sandy Bovisand Beach is a perfect way to cool off! Dogs are welcome to join you on your stay, just ensure that they are kept on a lead and supervised at all times. Sorry, open fires are prohibited. You are permitted to have a BBQ though, as long as it is raised from the ground. This site is certificated by the Caravan and Motorhome Club, to book this site you must be a member.
Drakes View Certificated Location is open all year round in 2024 and 2025.
There are no showers, toilets or waste disposal facilities so you will need to have your own. There are water taps around the site.
There is a golf course next door to the site with a clubhouse serving food and drink, or head to the Royal Oak, a five minute drive away or a 25 minute walk. For picking up the essentials head to the Woodside store, also a five minute drive away.

Sit back at your pitch and enjoy your morning brew or evening tipple as you admire the site's sea views, surrounded by green countryside there will be an abundance of wildlife around the site to spot!
For walkers, the South West Coastal Path runs just outside of the site and is a great way to explore this part of the coastline, especially with your four legged friend! The South Devon National Landscape also offers plenty of footpaths.
Plymouth city centre can be reached by a 20-minute drive with a great range of shops, pubs and restaurants to explore. Or, sit by the harbour and watch as the boats moor in. For a day at the beach, Bovisands Beach is a five minute drive from site.
