Hole Station Campsite is an adult only site offering pitches in individual, private woodland clearings. Campfires are allowed and, because it's adult only, it's the perfect place to relax. Your pitch includes a ready erected kitchen shelter. Campfire kits (firepit, logs, kindling and firelighters) and cooking grills can be rented from reception. There is an on site cafe to set you up for the day with breakfast.

Lovely cosy site, if you want peace and quiet, you get it 👍 Back to nature with simple camping in the woods. Hosts are helpful and friendly and always have a smile. My dog and I enjoyed ourselves. We shall definitely go back. Toilets and showers are basic but usable, no issue.

Friendly people

Fantastic location, very quiet, not crowded at all. Our pitch was very private, felt like we were the only ones camping there, you can't see any other tents. On site there is a lovely little cafe that serves breakfast every day. Highly recommend.

Site's response

Thank you and pleased you enjoyed your stay.

We had a brilliant stay here. We chose our pitch and were not disturbed the whole time we were there, all we could hear were the birds :). The facilities were excellent and there's great places nearby you can drive to, such as beaches and shops. Thank you very much.

Site's response

No, thank you you very much! Good to have you here.

What a lovely place to camp, it was beautiful and so quiet. The owners couldn't be more helpful and what a lovely little café they have on site. All in all, I would highly recommend staying here. 10/10 - will definitely be back.

Friendly and funny owner. Great place to stay if you want to feel you are alone. Very thoughtfully laid out. Goats, sheep, horses and chickens to make friends with. Eco friendly sustainability top notch. Amusing signs everywhere for those eco newbies amongst us 😁

Site's response

Thank you, glad you liked the signs, more are planned (evil laugh)!

What a find! You're still camping but you're camping in a forest and you really don't feel like anyone else is there. It's magical and beautiful and totally unspoilt. The facilities are exactly what you need. The signs, well the signs, they're informative, educational, hilarious and very Greg (once you meet him, you will. know). Easy booking, check in and the wheelbarrows are a lifesaver. Pick your site and enjoy how special it is.

Site's response

Thanks for your review, it's appreciated. Re the signs - I'm pretty sure I'm getting a new laminator for Christmas, ooer!

Fantastic, secluded spot. Great for a family reunion. We had two sites, which gave us privacy. Breakfast at the cafe was great and the evening meal on the day of arrival saved a lot of hassle after a long drive. Will revisit.

Site's response

Good to hear we hit the spot! Look forward to seeing you again.

Would definitely recommend if you like rural or wild(ish) camping!

In short, a really enjoyable stay with everything you need. On arrival we were greeted by Greg, who gave us a quick tour of the shared facilities. He then gave us a laminated sheet and explained we can pick any pitch we like that wasn't crossed off. We walked along a path through the woods where there were many pitches of different sizes which were all far apart from each other. Once we picked we told Greg and started to unpack. There were unloading spaces to park the car at the edge of the woods with giant wheelbarrows for you to use to unload your things (very helpful). The car was then moved to the carpark which is where reception is. We booked the bring your own tent option which the pitch itself had a shelter, camp fire, tripod grill, bench and its own compost loo in a pop up pod. Shared facilities. Everything is set up to be as eco as possible which aligns with what it says on the website. Shared toilets are compost toilets which have separate male and female. Electric showers are in separate cubicles which only need to be booked if the site is busy. There's a tap to fill water bottles, recycling facilities (plastic bottles are not recycled), a freezer to store freezer blocks for cool boxes, 2 sinks for washing up with a hot water tank that you can put on to boil and turn off when you're done. Also 2 lockable charging boxes that you can charge your devices in for free! Not to mention the café, which serves breakfast 8-10.30am (I think) There's also a notice board explaining some rules and the most local amenities. Lots of information provided all round and I learned a lot about the woodland and the benefits of eco living. We really enjoyed our stay in nature! Lots of wildlife around (as you'd expect in the woods!) and really quiet. You'd almost forget there were other people there because you're spaced so far apart.

Thank you Stacey, pleased you enjoyed your stay.
