About the site


Bardsea Leisure Park is situated near Ulverston on the beautiful Furness Peninsular. Sheltered within a former quarry, the friendly, five pennant park offers a 10 acre site which has been extensively landscaped to accommodate 173 static caravans (all privately owned) and touring pitches. The 88 all weather touring pitches are fully serviced, with mains water and drains, 10 amp electric and a TV aerial point. The site is well suited to both new and experienced tourers, and aims to offer everything that you could want or need - from the well stocked accessories shop to experienced and knowledgeable staff. As well as a peaceful place to stay, the site is superbly located for you to enjoy the numerous day trips, walks and attractions that the Lake District has to offer.

All pitches are generously spaced to accommodate a caravan with awning. Pitches are fully serviced featuring mains drains, electric and an aerial point.



Please note that caravans must be at least 20 feet apart. Failure to comply will mean the Warden will ask you to move your unit. If you do not comply with this request, you will be asked to leave. This rule is now compulsory for all sites. Please obey it.

In order to provide a peaceful night for caravanners it is requested that it is ALL QUIET FROM 10:30pm TO 8:00am.

THE PARK WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL VEHICULAR TRAFFIC BETWEEN 11pm and 7am. Please show consideration to fellow campers.

No ground fires are permitted.

The destruction of trees, shrubs or wildlife is strictly forbidden.

Liability is not accepted by Bardsea Leisure Park for accidents to caravanners, their guests or loss or damage to personal property.

The speed limit on the park is 5mph and must be observed at all times.

Please ensure that your children are aware that rock climbing is forbidden.

Dogs must be kept on leads while on the caravan park.


Located at the gateway to the Lake District, there are numerous attractions catering for all.

Just a short walk away is the picturesque market town of Ulverston where you will find many specialist shops, cosy pubs and eating houses.

A swimming pool and leisure complex is also nearby, along with an 18 hole golf course.

Lake cruises are available on Windermere and Ullswater, with too many walks to mention - all of which are accompanied by fantastic views of lakes, valleys, forests or mountains.

There is also a Safari Zoo situated in Dalton-in-Furness (about 10 miles away).
