Small and peaceful rural campsite set in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds

Located on a working farm with glorious church and countryside views

A five minute drive to Cadwell Park, a 30 minute drive to the Lincolnshire coast

About Oxcombe Campsite

This is a simple, pop-up site based on a peaceful rural farm in the small village of Oxcombe. Though tucked into the countryside, you will still have all of the amenities like farm shops and the market towns of Louth and Horncastle all within a 15 minute drive. The site has just ten non electric grass pitches in total, each 6m x 6m and welcoming up to four guests. Each pitch allows tents only, with wonderful views over the surrounding Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and neighbouring church. If you're keen to get out in nature, you're in the right spot. Cyclists and walkers can follow a bridle path from the farm and jump on the Viking Way, while there are easier strolls along Lincoln-Washingbrough Tow Path. You can also get out in the sea air and play with the kids among sand dunes at Moggs Eye and Gibraltar Point beaches, both within a 40 minute drive. For evenings onsite, there are a small number of communal firepits available to borrow and you can also buy sacks of logs (with kindling and firestarters) on site. Open fires are not permitted but you're welcome to bring gas stoves or disposable BBQs along for some al fresco cooking. Four-legged friends can also join you for your stay, with up to three allowed per pitch.

Oxcombe Campsite is open from 01/08 to 02/09.

A note from the site themselves...

I started this campsite to share the beauty of the farms scenery and its nature with everyone else. It's a quiet idyllic spot and I hope you get to come and experience this place for yourself too.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2024

A real gem. We were made to feel welcome. The site is a hidden spot steeped in history. It's natural and the rest of the campers were courteous and respectful of the site and other campers. We had a tent issue and the owners were more than happy to lend a hand and move our tent to a more sheltered side of the field. Genuinely lovely. We will be back.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2024

A beautiful little spot, nestling in lovely rolling farmland in Lincolnshire Wolds. Very quiet- not suitable for party people- but perfect for families looking for some peace. Clean toilets and hot showers, and we had use of an indoors space and fridge. Surrounded by cows, chickens and peacocks. Perfect base for walking in Wolds or visit to seaside. Hope to return!
