About Nige's Camping

This family-run site is a hidden gem located just five minutes from the enchanting New Forest National Park. The campsite is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a flat, open space for families to unwind and reconnect with nature. Only 25 minutes from the seaside resort of Bournemouth, it is an ideal base for exploring Hampshire. For tent and campervan campers there are 20 pitches onsite, each allowing up to six guests. Do note that there is a limit of no more than two adults per pitch unless agreed beforehand. Each non electric grass pitch is 7m x 7m, set within a spacious open field with animals and countryside all around. The New Forest is one of the largest remaining unenclosed tracts of pasture, heathland, and forest in Southern England. Fordingbridge is also a stone's throw away, a charming town on the River Avon, known for its picturesque late-medieval seven-arch bridge. There is an easy bus service to Bournemouth, Ringwood and Salisbury too! The site offers the perfect blend of tranquillity and adventure, with the diverse attractions of Hampshire, Dorset, and Wiltshire all within easy reach. Create unforgettable memories as you explore the natural beauty of the New Forest, the excitement of nearby theme parks, and the rich history and culture of Fordingbridge. BBQs and campfires that are raised off the ground are permitted, perfect for al fresco dining in the evenings. Please only bring well seasoned logs or you will not be able to use them. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but please ensure they are kept on a lead as there are free-range sheep and chickens roaming the grounds.

The site is open for bank holiday weekends, weekends in June and July and all of August.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

A lovely small campsite with rustic but perfectly clean and serviceable facilities. Ideal for families with kids who were clearly enjoying all playing together on the swings and slides. Friendly feel and not far from Fordingbridge where you can find a section of pubs and amenities. I would return and recommend.

Lovely site, we only stayed for one night as a stopover between Somerset and Sussex. Lots of space and good facilities. Hope to return for longer sometime.
