My two sons and I stayed for two nights so we could visit BSB at Donnington. Everything here was clean, tidy, functional and warm as a heater was supplied along with a fridge and kettle in our Lotus Belle tent. As bikers, we did not expect the facilities to be as comfortable and inviting as they were. Our bikes were parked safely near our tent and the lady who oversaw the site was always friendly and smiling. The toilet and shower facilities were always clean and easy access. What else can I say, but will be back the next time we visit Donnington race track.

Some people were very noisy, even after midnight until 2am or 3am, that made us not sleep well. One of my friends was trying to tell these people that they were too noisy and to please keep the voice down. However, they were still talking as normal until 3am. Eventually my friend left the campsite and drove back home.

A lovely site, not too big. Even though we stayed in our own caravan, the huts & tepees with hot tubs looked amazing. It's a site for caravans/motorhomes, amazing. Very spacious and loved that there are fully serviced pitches. Things to make the stay a bit better: more toilets & showers in the block, a small shop on site would be good and a map of the site/area could be beneficial

I enjoyed my stay here. It's a well kept site with good, basic facilities. Most of my stay was lovely and quiet, being during the week in term time. The Friday got a lot busier but there was still space. The only problem I had was the lights in the toilet block are motion sensitive and the detector doesn't cover the showers, so I was plunged into darkness and had to open the door to get the lights back on. I guess this would not have been a problem if there were other people in the building. Otherwise it was clean, and well maintained. Very convenient for Derby and its surroundings.

Absolutely fabulous site. Lovely staff, really accommodating. Hot tub amazing, more than enough wood supplied to keep you going your entire stay, was already heated and waiting for us to get in as soon as we arrived. Definitely will be returning.
Clean, friendly, flat and comfortable!

We loved the layout of the site and how flat and well kept the grass was (like camping on a bowling green!) The toilets/showers were very nice and everyone had lots of space. The lady who met me was friendly and helpful, and left us to it, so that was nice. The only caution I'd say is (but if you look at a map, it's obvious!) is it's quite close to a busy road and a train line, and close to airport flight path. There will be "white noise" if the hum of traffic and the odd train going past, which I was fine with, but woke thinking there was fighter jets overhead only to realise it was a passenger jet. If you are a plane spotter, this could be cool, it just took me unaware 😂 Definitely not enough to put me off another stay! If anything, I might upgrade and try their beautiful glamping set up as it looked very relaxing! No play equipment for young kids but mine loved just playing in the open grass with other kids.

Great location and price. Lovely little place, staff member was so lovely and can't do enough for you! Only teeny complaint is the tent did smell next to the fridge, like gone off milk, could do with deep clean as made whole tent a bit whiffy! Apart from that, loved our stay and will most definitely be back.
A wonderful time

Location: Our only gripe is that day or night, you could hear the local traffic and aircraft taking off. You soon got used to the noise though (really not too loud and I love the aircraft anyway). They do not have enough loos. It wouldn't be so bad if they built a urinal block. Despite that, I loved the site and will return to try glamping to test out.

On arrival there's a phone number to call, continually engaged, so pulled onto a pitch. Saw a lady riding up the site so chased after her, was told to park anywhere. Hardstanding pitches are like lumps of broken up tarmac, certainly wouldn't like to put a groundsheet over it. Fully serviced pitch, so great. Was a weekend, so children playing football, sometimes retrieving ball from your pitch. Toilets & showers, didn't use the individual pods, Hubby said they looked okay, could do with cleaning more when site's full, which it was. Toilets badly fitted, so lid doesn't stay up,. Showers nice enough but more hooks are needed and unless you point the shower head to the side, would soak everything. Nice canal walks nearby and ice cream van visits. My thoughts are, the owners concentrate on the glamping pods more than the campsite, we were given no information on anything, you are literally left to get on with it, no welcome, at all. The grass was nice & short and looking at the site, it looks neat & tidy, until you spot the bins, all overflowing and bags of rubbish all round the bins, not good in hot weather. We didn't have an awful experience, but think more attention needs to be paid to people arriving in vans. Don't think we would stay again.

Our very first outing in our camper so we were a little apprehensive. We booked a EHU on a grass pitch. Our first impression was the site was too big. but no it wasn't at all, we enjoyed a perfect weekend. The facilities and the overall cleanliness were excellent. We enjoyed a lovely long walk along the canal and had a fantastic lunch along with a few drinks. Overall fantastic weekend.

On arrival I had a phone number to ring which was fine, but my first time at the camp I thought maybe someone could of popped out to show me where things were. Would have been more a personal touch. I had to re-ring to ask another question which was resolved, but as my first time here would of been nice to see a face! The place was kept to a high standard of cleanliness and all grassed area kept very nice! I would definitely return here nice and peaceful to!

Good location in terms of there being different places of interest a short drive away. The site is on the flight path for East Midlands Airport, near a freight railway line and near the Derby bypass, so can be noisy at night. The toilets and showers are kept quite clean and there are additional toilet and shower cubicles outside, which is very handy. The inside shower cubicles are nice and spacious. One of the toilet seats in the ladies' needs some attention and the hand dryer is not the best. For the most part, the site felt quite spacious. However, on our last night, there were a lot of bookings and it felt rather overcrowded. Sadly, not all campers followed rules in terms of keeping dogs on leads, which was difficult if your own dog was on a lead and a surprise when a strange dog wanders into your tent! Of course, this is not the fault of the site, but it may be worth the staff picking up on this with individuals, if noticed. The staff were friendly and the site was generally neat, clean and tidy.

For someone who has never been camping before, this was perfect. We stayed in one of the glamping huts, plenty of room for my husband, myself and our 9 year old. It wasn't too far away from the toilet block, that was very clean. My husband loved the wood fired hot tub. And the BBQ was lovely to use (he now wants one for the garden). The staff were great and it felt like a safe place to be. It was nice to have our own decking area and picnic bench. Overall I would highly recommend this place.

It was our first time trying out camping, and we loved it. Perfect site, and for two people who love going on walks, it wasn't too far from the Peak District, about a 40 minute drive. The facilities were very clean, and everyone was lovely and friendly. Would stay again!

One of the best sites we have been on. The location is great and there is loads to do. Whether you walk down the side of the canal, go to the local pub or visit Donnington park, we Loved our stay and will be back.
