About the site
Situated just 15 minutes from the sandy Beadnell Bay Beach, this site is ideally located for exploring the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are three luxury glamping pods onsite which sleep two. Ideal for couples, you will have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pods are equipped with a king size bed, bedding and ensuite shower room. The kitchen has a microwave, hob and fridge for all your cooking needs. Outside, there is an optional wood-fired hot tub and seating area, perfect for evenings under the stars. From here, you will also be able to enjoy glorious views over your rural surroundings. The site also offers two unique restored canal boats which are both set into the hillside with stunning views all around. For families, Miss Ellie can cater for groups of up to six with two small double beds and one set of bunk beds, while the smaller boat, Moonraker, is perfect for two with a double cabin bed. The boats are lovely and cosy, no matter the weather, fully equipped with electric heating, hot water, a kitchen with cooker, toaster, kettle, microwave, under counter fridge and small freezer. Inside Moonraker, you will also find a bathroom and loo under canvas, located at the front of the boat, whilst Miss Ellie has two bathrooms. If the rain decides to show up, you can still enjoy glamping inside the boats with plenty of indoor seating and windows to look through at the scenery and wildlife. Sit back and relax whilst playing cards or board games, reading a book or watching a DVD. All you need to do is bring your favourite nibbles and tipple. For larger groups, the spacious converted showman wagons, Petweet and Plover, can accommodate up to six guests. Inside each of the luxury wagons, you will find a king-sized bedroom, a twin room and a comfy sofa bed, with bedding provided. You will also have your own open-plan living area with seating, a smart TV and a fully equipped kitchen, along with a modern ensuite fitted with a shower and toilet. Outside all of the glamping units, you'll find fire pits with a starter pack of logs provided, plus a BBQ and garden furniture, great for al fresco dining or sitting out and enjoying the starry night skies of North Northumberland. You can even add a wood-fired hot tub to your booking, the perfect way to sit back and marvel at the views! There is also a cottage onsite. Four-legged friends are welcome in the pods but not in the rest of the glamping accommodation.

Peweet Showman's Wagon
Converted showman's wagon with a king size bedroom, two single beds and a double sofa bed, bedding and towels provided. There is a well-equipped kitchen, electric heater, TV, shower room, fire pit, BBQ, seating and optional woodfired hot tub. No dogs.
Plover Showman's Wagon

I would hugely recommend staying in one of the gorgeous glamping pods. They provide everything you need, owners were really helpful and the views from our glamping pod was amazing. Only a 15 minute drive away from Alnwick town, which was really good as we spent a full day there, walked around Alnwick castle and gardens and Plenty of pubs/cafes for dinner and drinks. Overall one of the best places I have stayed for a few nights away. Was amazing!

Fabulous first experience of Glamping, like staying in a five star hotel, but outside. Cookies and marshmallows were a nice touch as were the sheep hoi kept us company. Would recommend for sure and all visitor towns were all in local reach. Only downside we had was that we had noisy neighbours who played music quite loud in the early hours. They were in the hot tub and their was music on so they could hear it, which, unfortunately meant the noise easily reached us. It did not spoil our weekend but was an annoyance.

Our stay in Fern was truly fabulous. A perfect place to relax while within easy reach of lovely sights such as Craster, Lindisfarne, Farne Islands, Alnwick and more. To return after a day of exploring, to the seclusion of the pod with views to the coast and a relaxing hot tub was a hard-to-beat pleasure.

Just 15 minutes from the Northumberland Coast AONB, this is an ideal location for soaking up the summer sun. Beadnell Bay Beach (15 minutes) has a beautiful sandy shore, and wonderful blue waters, perfect for those wanting to take a dip.
For those looking to soak up a bit of local history, Lindisfarne Castle is just a 35 minute drive away. The National Trust castle sits on a crag-top, with wonderful views and fascinating exhibitions to explore, there is plenty to keep you busy for a morning or afternoon out.
Keen golfers can also enjoy a day out at nearby Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course (20 minutes). This coastal course is situated on the glorious Embleton Bay, with stunning views from every one of the 18 holes.
