Amazing tent pitch

An extraordinarily wonderful site. The facilities mean taking less, no need for camp chairs or kitchen storage. I thought we'd struggle without electric for the fridge, however the freezer blocks and coolbox provided were more than sufficient. The campfire and generous provision of wood along with the electric charge point make this a truly value-for-money site. It's a little trek to the shower block and reloading the car, but well worth it for the fantastic pitch. Lots to do for the children and a safe site to explore. This pitch really caters for all campers and nature-lovers. Would highly recommend.

Beautifully maintained site

Great location, plenty of showers and toilets, and the plots were really secluded. The shelters provided were perfect for bad weather protection and benches and fire pits were great for clear, dry nights for star-gazing. We all really enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing stripped back camping

Overall, we had a brilliant stay at Florence Springs. The guys were there on hand to help with luggage and extremely helpful. The quality of logs supplied are great and it's amazing that they are included in your stay. The pitch we stayed on provided excellent protection from the storms. The shower block was basic and clean water was always hot but not heating and open, so chilly for the little ones to shower. I was surprised the compost toilet worked so well, with no nasty unpleasant smells, but take your own toilet paper as this is not stocked up during your stay. Little phone signal, but can connect to Wi-Fi at the shower block, which is lovely if you want to shut off from the world. There is a lovely little walk to Heatherton Adventure Park but that's it, you can't walk or cycle anywhere without heading on the very busy main road, so make sure you have everything you need as there is no onsite shop and everything is a drive away, nearest supermarket is Tenby. Work on points - camping pitches would benefit from a better outside shelter, such as those with the yurts, the current ones need fixing/upgrading. Playpark for children would be welcomed as lots of small children staying whilst we were there and children would have loved a swing and a slide! The pitches are only just big enough for large tents. We got our Berghaus 6.1 in with some room, but our friends' 6XL didn't fit in the space and had to peg into the camp fire area. I felt the photos of the pitches are slightly off as there isn't as much space as we thought.

Beautiful, private park with perfect very clean facilities and lovely warden. Will definitely be returning.

Beautiful half term break

A lovely half term break with lots of things nearby to enjoy. We also took our Labrador, who thoroughly enjoyed it too.

A peaceful haven

We had a lovely secluded spot for our tent for a long weekend. The set up is lovely. The under cover cooking area is a fantastic idea. If the staff aren't about, they're only a phone call away and are quick to respond to any requirements. The only small negative are the showers. They are push button controlled and don't stay on for very long...but we managed ok. Tenby is only a 10 minute drive away. We will be returning next year for camping.

Good points and bad

Great private pitches but ground impossible to pitch tent pegs. Too shallow with lots of stone underneath. Eco toilets smelt too much for to use and main block was too far a walk for little ones in night.

Thanks for your review, Ritchie. We're sorry to hear that everything wasn't quite up to your expectations. We strive for all of our guests to have a brilliant time with us. We've never heard of any other guests having trouble with the ground being too hard, but we will look into this immediately. For future reference, had you requested a pitch closer to the toilet block before your stay, we certainly could have made this happen for you so it was a bit easier for the young children. Our compost toilets (like all others) are designed not to smell if all guests are using them correctly. If you had made any smells aware to a warden during your stay, we could have sorted this for you immediately. We hope to see you again with us in future, and please be assured that any problems you have during your stay can be reported for our friendly team to come and resolve.

Unique camping experience

We chose a Premium Camping pitch at this site to reacquaint ourselves with camping. Our tent was 4 years old and had only been used for 1 night until staying at Florence Springs for 3 nights. My partner chose the site because of it's secluded natural nature. It is worth bearing in mind that there is no vehicle access to the pitch, there is a little truck available and our equipment was offered a lift by the warden who greeted us, using his little ut vehicle. Less than a handful of premium piches available and ours was Swanlake. A nicely tucked away location about 5 minutes walk from showers/toilets (compost toilet close to pitch if required) and car park. Plenty of natural screening around and a little shack to cook and eat under cover if require. There was a fire pit and BBQ. We used the fire pit on each of the 3 nights which was pleasant. Wood and firelighters included :). The showers/toilets were very good, clean and in good order. The aim of our stay was to decide whether we kept the tent or sold it. In the end we have decided to sell as for us camping at 60+ along with a dog seemed like a lot of effort. However, we wouldn't hesitate in recommending Florence Springs camping pitches and the site as overall we had a very enjoyable stay.

Great country escape

Lovely, quiet camp site with loads to do in the surrounding area. Would really recommend this campsite for families. Thank you to the staff member, Sam, for his help when we stayed.

Wonderful

We stayed on one of the premium camping pitches never been camping before the staff were so welcoming and very helpful even helping getting our belongings to our site. our site was so secluded and quiet. The compost toilet and the main toilets and showers were so clean. .This site have thought of everything it was amazing and definitely recommend and will be returning . Thankyou Florence Springs

Best campsite!

I absolutely loved this campsite! As a Canadian who has done lots of camping throughout my lifetime, I would say hands down this is the best campsite I've been to in the UK. The staff were extremely friendly. When we arrived, they welcomed us and helped us get all our stuff settled into our campsite, and also gave us great restaurant recommendations. The camping plots themselves I really liked as they are large, secluded and give you lots of privacy. Not far from our plot there's a main block which has showers, a dishwashing area, kettle, microwave and Wi-Fi. There are also lots of great things for kids to do around the campsite so it is very family friendly. The location of the campsite is also extremely convenient as it is a short drive from Tenby town centre. Overall, I really loved this campsite and enjoyed my time here, I will definitely be camping here again in the future!

The site provides a lovely, private experience not often experienced when you pitch a tent.

Camping at Florence Springs

The campsite was well thought out with camping areas separated by trees, so each camping spot had a private clearing with its own campfire, benches and undercover kitchen area with cool box (freezer blocks available). Beautiful spot with Tenby and other coastal spots a very short drive away. Compost toilets dotted about with mains toilets, showers, washing up area, kettle, microwave etc at the main block. It is a walk from the car park, but there is a trolley supplied and it is lovely not to have cars driving around the camping area. The only bug is that there is a strict rule about arriving before 7pm which some may find a problem. However it was probably the best campsite we have stayed at - they also have glamping options with outdoor hot tubs and showers, which also looked great.

Great site!!!

Very well looked after and organised site, great facilities and extremely tidy and well kept! Kids really enjoyed the swing-ball and table tennis and all the wildlife around the site. Great camping pitch with fire pit, seating and the lovely, covered kitchen/dining area was brilliant! Also loved the BBQ!

A very accommodating campsite

A truly wonderful campsite. We had huge car troubles so missed the first 2 nights of our 3 night stay. I was in touch with Verity throughout and she went above and beyond to help. We came for our last night and Verity booked us on for an extra night to make up for the nights we missed. Even though we couldn't stay another night, this meant that we didn't have to check out in a rush and could take our time. Such a thoughtful thing to do for us, even though she didn't have to. The campsite itself was beautiful. Really well placed for things to do and places to see. It was very clean and the facilities were all you would need. Even down to lockers with plugs and freezers to keep food. The wagons of firewood were very generous and all of the wardens couldn't do enough to help. We will definitely return, when we have a fully functioning car! A little gem of a campsite. Thanks again.

A beautiful site!

Florence Springs! Beautiful site and very private! Absolutely loved our stay with Florence Springs, first time camping here and the facilities were perfect. The private pitch was brilliant for the dogs! Will definitely be coming back. Very friendly staff and a perfect location!
