Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesNov 2024

Beautiful setting and if owner put effort in, then it would be an amazing place to stay. Sadly, it feels that there hasn't been much effort put in to making it a great camp. It was like we had camped in a car park. Muddy uneven pitches. Very noisy at night with people and cars. It seems that no one oversees the running of the site. No procedures in place to ensure everyone has a great experience. There is a chocolate lab allowed to run off lead even though it tried to bite my small nervous rescue dog. I had to ask for the dog to be kept on lead but this was not done. The whole experience was very disappointing and we will definitely not be back!

Friendly welcome and the breakfast was a surprising extra

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesNov 2024

The site was very simple to book through Campsites.co.uk. We were greeted on arrival, indicated where to pitch and shown around the facilities. There were comfortable sitting areas, a dining and breakfasting space. The pitch itself had a great outlook over the valley, the picnic table and good lighting made the pitch even more attractive. There were cooked meals offered in the evening, free tea and coffee at all times, and a basic breakfast included. There appear to be many long term guests but there was still plenty of space for tourers and everyone was very welcoming. We took a walk through the village to the local Inn (1.5miles), it was well worth the walk, just don't forget your torch.

Amazing campsite
