Our stay

Our experience was exceptional. The pod was amazing and really cosy, felt like a home from home. Very friendly welcome and great information provided about the surroundings. Facilities were great! And we can't wait to book again in the future. Great weekend from start to finish.

Excellent stay

Fantastic stay. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Pod was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Location was good and the views from the Pod were breath-taking.

Weekend away

A very luxurious place to stay, it felt super relaxed and safe there the entire time. I want to come back and get the hot tub next time!

Lovely restful place

We came here for a couple of nights of rest and relaxation, and that's what we got. In a lovely quiet location, bed was super comfy, shower was good, cooking facilities was spot on, log burner was lovely and cozy when sitting at night. The hot tub just finished it off when u had the outside lights on sitting in it, Emily showed us to "Daisy" our pod and talked us through everything. Lovely place and would definitely recommend it.

Peaceful location with stunning views

Wow, what can I say. Location was amazing, so peaceful and facilities were spot on for a family run business. Emily greeted us on arrival and explained all the facilities and how the hot tub works. The pod had everything you need for a relaxing few days away, only thing missing would be Wi-Fi, but not needed.

Excellent!

We had a great 2 nights in Rose. Lovely pods, spotlessly clean and really comfortable. Hot tub was absolutely magic, nice watching the sheep nearby. Lots of good places to visit, we went to Portpatrick for lunch one of the days, and Kirkcudbright and Isle of Whithorn.

Excellent break

Excellent couple of nights away, peaceful. Loved the walks with the dog, excellent accommodation just what we asked for. Would recommend to friends and family thanks for the stay 👌

Beautiful pods

Just back and loved our stay! The pods were very spacious and comfortable. Bed was so comfortable and had a great sleep. Great facilities; bathroom was spacious and shower lovely and warm. Bedding and towels were good quality and pod had everything we needed. A good base for travelling across the area and so peaceful on site. Great value for money - would definitely return.

Fantastic and peaceful

So peaceful. Hot tub great and bed really comfy. Loved watching the moon from the tub. Pod spacious and perfect for couples. Shower was fab.

Total Bliss

I cannot say how amazing these pods are, we stayed in the Rose Pod with hot tub, which was worth the little extra! The location is amazing in the most relaxing surroundings, the pod itself is equipped with everything you need and spotless - you really couldn't ask for any more. The log fire made it super cosy and the kitchen has enough to make a meal and breakfast. All you need is your swim wear and a glass of wine and you'll be in absolute heaven. We enjoyed some lovely drives to Newton Stewart and Wigtown but really you don't even need to leave the pod. The nearby walks are lovely to enjoy too. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Absolutely fantastic pod and site

Perfect in every way. Beautiful and clean with breath-taking views. Immaculate pod with everything you need. The site itself is really well looked after with views to die for, an ideal place to get away from it all and relax. We will definitely be returning.

Perfect reading retreat

Excellent accommodation. Spotlessly clean, in a beautiful location. Emily was very friendly and helpful on arrival. This was our 2nd visit. I'd definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil break to de-stress.

In the wilds

If you're looking for isolation, this is for you. Nothing on site apart from hot tubs, so we needed to venture to Newton Stewart. Wi-Fi was very poor and for us, you still need to keep up with the world. Pod itself was excellent, TV/gas hobs/microwave, toilet with shower, fridge all spotless.

As you mentioned, our location does require venturing to Newton Stewart for additional amenities and internet access. However, we believe this also allows our guests to explore our beautiful area which sometimes gets forgotten! We also understand that some guests prefer a more secluded experience, and our location provides a relaxing space for those seeking isolation, hence why we do not have any Wi-Fi connection. Great stay

Had a lovely couple of nights stay. Lovely pods, really clean and comfortable. The host was lovely, will definitely be back and bring the children next time.

Peaceful, relaxing, pristine and perfect

What a fabulous trip we had. We wanted an easy family getaway from the Lakes with a bit of luxury, but accommodating our spaniels. This ticked all the boxes. We loved being in the middle of nowhere, with gorgeous views, a cosy, pristine and comfortable pod with the lovely hot tub, as a morning and evening treat. A fab loop down forest tracks, straight off the farm was an ideal start to the day for the pooches. We cooked micro pasta meals one night, a takeaway another and then bangers and mash on the last night, as there isn't an oven. Emily the host was helpful and accommodating when we wanted to stay an extra night.

Recharge and relax

I am so glad I found Barnharrow Pods when looking for a weekend away. We stayed for two nights in the Chesnut pod. It was beautifully laid out boasting a full size double bed, three seater sofa bed and en-suite shower room. It doesn’t stop there though, the pod has a small fitted kitchen with a two ring hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster not to mention all utensils you need to have a home cooked meal during your stay. We were super cosy due to having electric heating plus a log burner and in the en-suite you will find a towel heater. All of this makes it a great return after a day out exploring the scenic countryside. The hosts were super friendly and made sure we knew how everything worked inside the pod and gave us recommendations for restaurants and takeaways. A real hidden gem! If you want to escape the stress of everyday life, turn off and recharge then this is the place. The pods sit in an unspoiled area of countryside, no cars, no light pollution just views that go for miles and the night sky really is something to be seen. We will definitely be back in the summer to sample one of the hot tub pods.

Spruce pod was lovely, clean and cosy

A bit out on the back of beyond, but was lovely, peaceful and quiet. The pod was lovely and clean. The log burner was fab and made it nice and cosy. Emily was really nice, she came over and introduced herself and showed us how to work a few things in the pod. Our pod was value for money, would highly recommend.

Beautiful pod

We stayed in Chestnut with our cockapoo and it's a beautiful pod. Plenty of lovely walks for dogs, and amazing views from our pod. Couldn't fault a thing, had an amazing time.

Chestnut Pod

100% recommend these pods! Firstly the view is amazing, situated out the way makes it’s very peaceful. We stayed in the chestnut pods, wonderful! Such a lovely little pod, I can not fault anything at all. We definitely be coming back!

Lovely place to stay

Second time staying in pod, we find it so relaxing as it's a lovely place to chill out and switch off. We were lucky to have some sunshine and sit out and enjoy the views. Emily is lovely and helpful. The pod is cosy with everything you need. We will definitely be back!

Luxury pod with beautiful views

Spent 2 nights here and honestly wish we could have had another day at least. The facilities were excellent, the pod was spotless and the host was lovely. The location is very remote, but not so remote it is difficult to get to. There is zero noise and at night, the sky was absolutely amazing. We had beautiful weather over the weekend which added to how stunning the location is. I will definitely be booking to stay again.

Awesome

We wanted peace and quiet from city life and that's what we got. An absolutely amazing place with some nice little beaches in the area and lots of trails for hiking and off road cycling. Would recommend to anyone!
