Motorhome - Electric Grass PitchesSep 2024

All quite straight forward. Code to get in and out of campsite. Parked at the side of a road, so easy to find my spot. I didn't use the facilities so can't comment. I was hooked up at 47 and found it quite hard to plug into the electric socket.

Brilliant

One of the best campsites we have had the pleasure to holiday on. Staff all so happy and friendly, everything we needed was available, would definitely come back again.

Lovely, quiet site, the washrooms and toilets were spotless and the grounds were well maintained. Lovely, friendly staff and very helpful. Such a shame the village pub has closed down!

Site's response

Thank you for taking the time to leave a lovely review, and I agree about the local pub being closed.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

This was a lovely place to erect our tent. We had the choice of where we wanted to put it. The field was well kept. The lady in charge was so welcoming and friendly. Nothing, it seems, would've been too much bother. Will definitely be returning!

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

A peaceful site, clean and warm loos, hot showers. A wonderful mix of residential and tourist. Very helpful neighbours and lovely wardens. A genuinely lovely friendly place. Buses into Great Yarmouth within a 5 min walk. Local Tesco also just a short walk away. The closest pub has closed down but a quick Google check and a chat with locals, we had a lovely pub lunch by the river with in half hour walk. Highly recommend if you want to escape and have a relaxing quiet time away. Will deffo return (didn't want to leave).

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

I was happy to stay at Rose Farm for the night. Obviously a well liked campsite, judging by all the permanent caravans. I loved the peace and tranquillity of the place. It was very clean. It would have been nice to be able to get a cup of tea or coffee first thing in the morning, and my only criticism would be for more than one shower. Apart from that, it was heavenly. Thank you.

Quiet site, small pitches

Motorhome - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

Site quiet, pitches were small for the Motorhome we booked, had a pitch we were only able to pitch parallel to the road on, and had minimal space between other campers - maybe 2 metres. Facilities were fine, however the bins had overflowed and even when we departed, the rubbish was still throughout the site. Pity the wardens had not sorted this out, as it did not look good, thus only 3 stars.

Peace and quiet

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2024

We only stayed for one night but our stay was smooth and easy from check-in to leaving. A friendly lady greeted us and showed us to our pitch, which was in good condition and spacious. There were plenty of drinking water taps, toilet and washing facilities a short walk away and it was very quiet, perhaps due to it being half term (so most of the caravan owners weren't there?). The facilities were high quality and all very clean, possibly in part thanks to handwritten reminder notices, some very poetic, in visible places. The site is on the edge of a village so there is also a playground some ten minutes walk away (outside the site) which my children enjoyed, but not much for them specifically on the site. We had a good night, undisturbed by anything except nature sounds, and packed up and left easily in the morning for a brief drive to Great Yarmouth about ten minutes away. So a brief stay but comfortable and I have no hesitation about recommending the site for anyone wanting a quiet base near the coast but away from the busy-ness of Great Yarmouth. I'd say it's probably better suited to adults than families with young children, though if you bring your own activities you'll be fine.

Motorhome - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2024

So let's start with saying this is not a negative review and people always expect a 5 star review, but it is a fair reflection. And our opinion only. There is nothing wrong with the site. It is basic and quiet and if you want a plot for a few nights it's fine. It does lack atmosphere. The majority of the pitches seem to be long standing permanent pitches and a fair few of them are not looked after by the owners so makes the site look a little scruffy. The facilities are clean and tidy but in need of modernising when compared to other sites charging the same amount. Whilst we didn't have a bad time, it was not memorable enough to want to rush back. That said if you want a quiet stay the place is fine and has the features you need, but didn't wow us for the cost. Happy but unlikely to rush back.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2024

We stayed here on the May bank holiday weekends. We were late to arrive but called in advance to let them know and were very accommodating and understanding. Toilets and showers were clean and the showers were always warm for me not so much for my husband. But I did ask him to mention it but he chose not to. Views were lovely especially the sunset when visible. Quite, out the way but close enough to both Great Yarmouth sea front and Gorleston on sea. Would definitely stop again.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesMar 2024

Lovely little site for those looking for a quiet break. Clean, tidy and exactly what was looking for compared to Haven sites etc. The site could do with some lighting around the road/footpaths, even if just solar powered to help people get to facilities. Plus, it may benefit from a larger second toilet facility on the touring site, at the lower end.
