About Barkhill Shepherd's Huts
This romantic shepherd's hut is a lovely choice for couples looking to escape everyday life with breathtaking views over Hambledon Hill. The cosy interior has a double bed for two, with all bedding, linen and towels provided. It's an open plan space, with a small dining table and well equipped kitchenette, including a fridge, table top hob, kettle, crockery and cooking utensils. There's a small ensuite, with a shower, toilet and sink. Outside is your own private space with outdoor seating as well as a fire pit and charcoal BBQ. The shepherd's hut has quaint decorations throughout, designed to make your stay as wonderful as possible. Get out and explore the stunning countryside with nearby market towns within easy reach too, or simply sit back and relax onsite. Dogs are not permitted on site at this time.

You're view will be directly across to the breathtaking National Trust Hambledon Hill which is also an easy ten minute drive away. Known as one of the best preserved and most famous Iron Age hill forts in the UK, it's great for walking and making the most of getting outdoors. Maybe you'll be able to spot the Shepherd's Hut from the top!
Explore the grand estate, striking architecture and peaceful grounds of Sherborne Castles and Gardens (25 minutes), or visit Sherborne's Old Castle (25 minutes) a 12th century ruined castle steeped in history.
