About Brook House Farm

The site is an easy 15 - 20 minute drive from Shrewsbury and its great amenities or 20 minutes from Welshpool. It includes a lovely B&B which can rustle up a delicious brekkie for campers and glampers. Views are half the fun here, with red kites often spotted overhead, the river whispering by and a secluded country setting. Pitches are a back to nature affair for tents, on lush grass, or on hardstanding for tourers with electric supplied. If you're bringing the tent and you fancy a couple's break, there are adult only pitches to suit. Or, if you've got the kids in tow, try a family friendly spot. For glampers, cosy glamping lodges and pods are a perfect choice for four with heating and beds supplied, or there are bell tents with lovely fire pits for you to try, sleeping up to five. Dogs are welcome in pet friendly bell tents and on pitches but must be on leads at all times.

Brook House Farm is open from 01/03 to 31/12 in 2024 and from 01/03 to 17/12 in 2025.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Adult Only)Sep 2024

Good reasonably flat pitch. Site appears to be expanding yet the shower and toilet facilities have not kept up to pace. The potting shed outside seating looked great but inside, it was a mish mash that did not really work. £8 for a tea and a pint of cider was a bit much. Peaceful on the first night but noisy neighbours in the adjacent pods spoiled that for us the following evening.

Excellent site with everything you could need

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Adult Only)Aug 2024

Lovely picturesque site with different areas for cabins and family tents and adult tents. Small fishing lake on the family camping field and the River Severn on the edge of the adults only camping field. Great cafe and bar area with beautiful sunny garden with seating. Excellent customer service from friendly and helpful staff who make the effort to go above and beyond. Food was great too. Excellent main shower and toilet facilities with a handy portaloo on each field to save walking to the main area. Cannot fault this site at all, just wish we had found it earlier in the year so we could have visited more!

2nd stay and will be back

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Adult Only)Aug 2024

This is my 2nd stay here and I took my partner for her first stay. The stay was really good and was exactly what we were looking for. The adult only field is a 'choose your own spot' field. I do think it may benefit from pitches being marked out as it all got a bit cramped, especially with a fisherman pitching his bivvy very close to us and our neighbours and proceeding to play music until late in the evening. Our stay was overshadowed by my partner falling and dislocating her shoulder on our first night, so apologies if we woke anyone in the early hours making our way to A&E, the owners were very generous and helpful in the aftermath. The site is quiet which is what we wanted, the potting shed is nice for a drink and something to eat however we were too late for pizza night by 10 minutes so unable to comment on them. They looked good though. I think the toilet/shower block may need expanding or an additional unit installing as there could be a good wait if you time it wrong. Overall, a lovely site, owners are brill and we will be back in 2025.

Yes, up to three dogs are welcome per pitch or in dog friendly bell tent, provided they are kept on a lead whilst onsite and are not a breed/crossbreed listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

Provided they are kept raised off the ground, fires and BBQs are welcome here.

Yes they accept pup tents free of charge. You can also bring a gazebo for a small fee but sorry, awnings are not allowed.

Pack up a picnic and eat it in the garden, with views of the pretty River Severn - what a way to relax!

If you've a little 'get up and go' after that relaxation, pop to pretty Shrewsbury, a great jumping off point for the Shropshire Hills and an ideal place for a browse of the local shops.

With more than 210 miles to tempt your feet, the Severn Way is nice and close, or you can join the ancient Offa's Dyke Path - with the team offering a pick up or drop off for those with weary legs.

Cast your bait into the river and wait for a nibble or nip over to other fisheries, an easy 20 minutes away from the farm.
