Old College Glamping sits almost half way between the fine City of Norwich and the East Coast with its noteworthy fine sandy beaches. Close to the network of Norfolk Broads it's a small family friendly site. The site offers the perfect base for exploring the huge variety of local attractions and wildlife from the beauty of the broads and beaches to all the fun of adventure parks.

About Old College Glamping

This welcoming site can be found settled half way between the beautiful beaches of the East Coast and bustling City of Norwich. This small family friendly site brings cosy, luxurious glamping for everyone to enjoy. The bell tent offers that camping experience that can only be achieved under canvas, but with the luxury of a standard double bed and super comfy pocket sprung mattress. You will find electric lighting and 13amp sockets, a kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery too. Great for couples but also for families having two chair-beds ideal for children. There's also the option to add a third ready bed for an extra child. Offering a touch of luxury for couples staying in The Pod, complete with heating, a king sized bed, crisp white linen and towels, smart TV, wifi, mini fridge and coffee machine guests will have everything they need for the perfect getaway. The outdoor kitchen provides the base for your cooking and washing up space, there is a wood-fired pizza oven, a gas hob, fresh drinking water and a sink with endless hot water for washing up. BBQs are available to take back to your pitch and there is a fridge/freezer for guests to use. The owners can provide pizza kits, wood for fire pits, disposable BBQs and charcoal for a small extra charge. The cleverly converted horsebox provides two unique shower rooms, each have large shower cubicles with thermostatic showers, flush toilets and handwash basins. Each unit shall have their own shower room allocated to them. Free WiFi is available with good coverage across the camping area. Sorry, no pets! Guests who book both the pod and the bell tent will have exclusive use of all facilities. Extra tent pitches may be available to parties booking both units with details on request. The site is licensed by the Woodland Champions Club, helping landowners create and manage woodland for the public to enjoy.

The pod will be available from 28th March to the end of October, the bell tent is available from the 3rd May through to the end of September.

Facilities and amenities

Facilities include a shared outdoor kitchen with a wood-fired pizza oven, a gas hob, communal fridge freezer and wash up area. There is a shower room for each unit, converted from a horse box, each with a thermostatic shower, flush toilets and wash basins with hot and cold water. Free WiFi, fire pits, BBQs and outdoor seating are also available.

Spar Lingwood is a five minute drive away for picking up any essentials. There are also multiple pubs within a five minute drive including The Kings Head and The Hermitage.

Bell Tent - Family Bell TentAug 2024

We stayed with our three children and had everything we could need for our stay. The tent was very well-equipped and cosy with the thoughtful items such as hot water bottles. Site was quiet and plenty of space for playing games outsides and fire in a night. Great to have private toilet and shower area. Would definitely come back next time we visit family in Norfolk.

We had a lovely stay. Andy and Rachel were lovely. Our 2 daughters enjoyed running around on the grass and making pizza with dad in the pizza oven. Well catered for, and had everything we needed. Close proximity to Bewilderwood which was a fun day out. Would definitely recommend, we all had a great time!
