About the site
A secluded campsite with a relaxed feel which offers grass camping and all of the important facilities. Set between the Suffolk countryside and coastline, the site is well located for exploring beautiful beaches and the surrounding pretty towns.
Campers can choose to pitch up their tent or tourer on either electric or non electric pitches. The camping field has mown areas for pitches and pathways, whilst the rest is kept long with hedgerows and trees planted to create habitats for wildlife. The field is kept car free but there are trolleys available to help you transfer your kit from the nearby car park.
The site provides a peaceful and chilled camping experience without the frills of larger sites, with space for ball games and a football net so children can keep occupied whilst parents sit back whilst cooking up dinner or enjoying a glass of their favourite tipple.
Start your day off right by pre ordering a tasty breakfast basket from the onsite honesty shop which can be delivered to your pitch!
Well located for the Suffolk and Norfolk countryside and coast, with the sandy beaches of Southwold just a 20 minute drive away. For keen walkers, there are plenty of footpaths around the area and great walks accessible from the campsite gates. Or, the pretty market town of Halesworth is only a 10 minute drive away.
Campfires and BBQs in raised fire pits are welcome, with fire pits available to hire from the site and logs available to purchase, settle down in the evenings around the campfire and watch the sun go down.
Dogs are welcome at this site, with up to two included with your booking.

A note from the site themselves...
Twelve years ago we took the plunge and bought Green Haven, our family home with the aim of developing an environmentally friendly campsite where guests can come and stay to enjoy the Suffolk countryside. We have now been welcoming campers for 10 years and we look forward to seeing you at our small, friendly, family site.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesAug 2024
Green Haven is a very welcoming site. The showers and toilets are kept clean.
Solar water gives plenty of hot water for showers and washing up. The information area is good and there is some local produce to buy. Lovely to hire a raised fire pit if you want to.
The camping area was smaller than I expected and pitches didn't have the 'not mown' areas between them. The site is a 15 minute walk to the pub in Rumburgh, which is reasonably priced. The closest other pub is a 50 minute walk. Take bikes or drive to other areas from this site.
Peaceful vibe

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024
We really enjoyed our stay here. Green Haven is the smallest campsite we have stayed at with only about 15 pitches.
The super friendly owners, Stuart and Katherine were always around in case of any issues and they also have a reasonably well stocked small shop with an honesty box or you can keep a tab and settle at the end of your stay. They will also give you lots of advice of places to visit and things to do. Based on its size, the campsite is very quiet and is tucked well away in the middle of the countryside, the extra benefits here are if you have clear night skies then the stars shine very bright indeed.
From the campsite, you have a 5 minute walk to the local pub, serving great food, great local ales, are very welcoming and have a pool table and dart board. Recommend booking for dinner as it's very popular.
The measure of a good campsite, I believe, is if you would revisit and I definitely would. We had a concern when we first arrived that there weren't enough facilities (2 showers, 2 toilets and 1 washing up station) however, we never had to wait long to use anything, if at all. Owner, Stuart, was saying that they have plans to extend and double facilities without increasing pitches.
Would recommend this site. Big thumbs up.
