A massive field in a good location for getting around Cornwall. The toilet and shower facilities were basic, but very clean and the showers were hot! I would recommend this campsite for a long stay in Cornwall.

I stayed at Lamarth Farm campsite for 3 nights for the purpose of walking the SWC Path. During my time, Rachel and her lovely family did everything to make my stay pleasant and comfortable. The site is large so there's plenty space between tents. There are great views of sunsets and sunrises which I always appreciate. The pitches are flat. The loos have plenty of loo paper and hand wash. There are 4 stalls in the gents and 2 showers. The showers have good pressure and the temperature was perfect for me. The washing up area is covered. There are 2 sinks, with hot and cold water, washing up liquid, cleaners and paper to dry off your washing up. There's a little shed where you can recharge your electrical items and a fridge/freezer, both of which I took advantage of. Rachel was a perfect host. She came by every night to ask about my day and see if there was anything she could help me with. Very generous and kind. I wholeheartedly recommend this site. You'll love it.

Lovely stay this weekend. All facilities were kept clean and tidy. Owners were both very friendly and made an effort to come over and see us a couple of times. Very peaceful and quiet but close enough to everything you would need. Loved it - will absolutely be returning!

Huge, well tended, flat field with excellent facilities and extras such as a breakfast/coffee van and Wednesday night burger van! The showers were lovely and hot and wash up area was clean and a good size. The owners were lovely and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent value too!

Camped here for five nights - it is a large open site with good amenities except no electric hook ups which was not a problem for us. Close to beeches on the Lizard and coastal path also only a short drive into Helston. The owner is very friendly and helpful - definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely stay with a gorgeous sea view in a well maintained, spacious campsite. The facilities were great and toilet and shower block were very clean. Having the fridge was very helpful. Rachel was very friendly and approachable. The only slight issue was the noise from the Navy as the helicopters were quite loud at some times which cannot be helped.
Site's response
We are pleased you had a lovely stay and enjoyed our fantastic views down the valley to the sea. I agree the helicopters at times are low flying and noisy especially in a tent! And as its the biggest helicopter pilot training unit in Europe, it's all for a good cause. To be honest, we are used to it but appreciate it can spoil the quiet momentarily. I hope this wouldn't put you off returning in the future for a mini break. Rachel.

Just had the best holiday of my life. The campsite is in my favourite area of Cornwall, just 30 mins from Penzance and Marazion and very close to Church Cove, Mullion and Poldhu Cove. Very cheap to book, I was originally looking for a two night stay but went for 3 as I was astounded at how cheap it was, especially in the summer holidays. Very spacious, we could camp wherever we liked so we had no noise or interference from neighbours. The owner popped over to say hello the next morning and check we were the right people. There was a coffee van on site that morning and picnic tables pulled up, where the owner sat and chatted to guests. There are chickens and ducks on site and the owners leave eggs out for guests to help themselves to, so we had farm fresh scrambled eggs for breakfast on our last morning. Clean toilets and a lovely warm shower. Washing up area stocked up with washing up liquid and sponges so we didn't even need to bring our own. My favourite part was the shed, kitted out with space to charge phones and phone chargers, had air pumps for our beds, a fridge for guests to keep their food in, a kettle for making hot drinks, pot noodles etc, and a whole selection of books and games for guests to use. My toddler daughter was delighted to find a paw patrol board game, giant Jenga blocks and loads and loads of kids books. It was a really nice touch that I'm really impressed with. It was our first camping trip as a family outside of festivals and I'm glad we chose Lamarth Farm. We will definitely be back and I've already recommended it to family.

We had a wonderful stay at Lamarth Farm. Rachel, the owner, welcomed us and regularly checked we had everything we needed. We were allowed to choose where to pitch our tent on the very large field. Toilets and showers were clean and worked really well. Fridge/freezer and charging sockets were available at no extra charge. Would highly recommend.

Huge open field with plenty of space to pitch. Camped over a particularly wet weekend with my 7y/o and was pleasantly surprised how well the land drains: it didn't get muddy or churned up at all. Easy to pitch, fairly stony underground, but I managed to push most of my pegs in by hand with a little trial and error. What is great about this site, and the reason I'd recommend it, is that it's super easy to find and very central. You can get to the Lizard, Coverack, Porthlevan, St Michael's Mount, Poldhu, Mullion. If you want a beautiful clifftop campsite within walking distance of the beach, this is not it. However if you're in the area for a while and want a "base" from which to explore a lot of those places, this site is ideal. Had a good chat with one of the owners who was both friendly and informative. They gave a couple of local hints and tips, and also helped out with some kit we forgot to bring. There's a shed with a few guides, a kettle, somewhere to charge phones (unsecured) and a fridge. I expect this gets fairly full in high season, but was handy nonetheless. You'll get a few bars of 4G at the top of the field. No Wi-Fi. Facilities are clean and serviceable, but not somewhere you are excited to get back to after a day out. If you're happy with all that, it's great.

Our stay was excellent. Very friendly and helpful owners and an excellent site for families and dogs with clean facilities. The aircraft at the neighbouring base kept us awake overnight, but it was totally worth it for the spacious and well maintained campsite. We enjoyed some great beach days and there was lots to do and see. Little amenities like a kettle to use and games for the children in the hut made pitching and set down that bit easier and our boys loved the football pitch.

We have just enjoyed 5 nights at this great site, so much space to pitch and feel secluded. Excellent host, Rachel was superb at local reccomendations and very attentive. The site is a stones throw from the air station, the aircraft became part of the family and enjoyable to watch even at night! Perfectly located for travelling around The Lizard. It was bliss not to have any hook-ups around and the associated noise, a peaceful stay and we will be back again soon. Delicious duck eggs available too!

Despite only having a short last-minute stay and a very wet and rainy night, our time at Lamarth Farm was definitely a favourite camping trip of mine and we will 100% be staying again. The farm is in a gorgeous location and the view was incredible, it was very peaceful and perfect for anyone wanting to experience the Cornish countryside. The host was so friendly and came for a chat in the evening when we arrived, making sure we were comfortable and happy. The bathroom facilities were spotless, and there is plenty available for families with kids including football goals, books and board games. As a couple, we enjoyed the serenity of our time and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some quiet time away to themselves. If you're an animal lover, there is plenty wildlife to see on the farm and a coop of chickens and ducks, which I loved! Dogs are also welcome. Overall we're very grateful for such a perfect stay and can't recommend it enough to anyone looking to stay in Cornwall.

We stayed at the site and it was just what we wanted. Fantastic hosts, Rachel and Luke, very helpful and accommodating. The site allows fire pits and BBQ's, we did a combination over several days. The space between the campers is fantastic, you feel connected but also have lots of space to set up and spread out. We bought the fresh free range eggs, they are very tasty. The surrounding area of the Lizard has lots of great beaches, coves and things to see and do. The Cornish museum in Helston was worth a visit. Porthleven is also wonderful, we went sea fishing from there and caught plenty of mackerel and pollock. Dales butchers in Helston is cracking for sausages and bacon, all meat really, we had two very tasty rib eye steaks one evening. Can't fault the site. One tip, don't try to head into Helston from the farm from around 3pm till 4.30pm as the local Navy base is closing for the day and lots of staff join all other traffic coming back on the only main road from the Lizard point, so it's very busy. We worked that out, Rachel also confirmed our findings so we always planned our trips to avoid that! But in general, the site covered all our needs, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would come again. This part of Cornwall is really worth spending a few days in.

Thank you for your review, Justin. It was a pleasure to welcome you both. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and exploring the wonderful Lizard peninsula and its array of different activities. Yes the traffic from RNAS Culdrose can be a problem during the summer sometimes heading into Helston, its just slow moving and just at kick out time with the volume of people who work on base. We look forward to seeing you again in your TP, Rachel, Luke & boys.

Lamarth Farm campsite is a lovely spot. The field is huge and very well kept. The facilities are all brand new, and the hut with power/guidebooks/fridge/books etc was an added bonus. We had a wonderful week at Lamarth Farm. Rachel, Luke and their sons were so welcoming to us and our slightly overzealous puppy. The field was a joy to pitch in, the facilities were clean and in good working order, and the enclosed dog paddock was an added bonus. The location of the site is great for easy access to everything on the Lizard and further afield, and Rachel and Luke were always ready to offer excellent suggestions. We would definitely book again.

First time using Lamarth Farm. The owners come to greet us and made sure we were settled in. Showed us where everything was. Very well kept facilities and grass. Playing area for kids (inc a mini football pitch and there are some garden games like swing ball etc). There is even a mini library if you want to read and chill! Not sure on the age span of genre though. If our kids weren't grown up, they'd have loved it there! Think there is a dog exercising area too. Most of all we found peace and quiet on our visit. There were the most incredible sunsets and night skies. We are planning on returning next month, if the weather is kind. We found it exceptional value for money. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Had a lovely 4 nights at Lamarth Farm last week. An ideal spot if you are holidaying in the Helston/Lizard area. Off the main road but close enough for easy access and just a few minute's drive from the beaches at Gunwallowe. The site itself is roomy and I should think even in the summer you can get a nice bit of space to yourself. Lovely clean toilets/showers. Easy access to the wash-up area and a fridge freezer for ice packs and cold things. It's a working farm so Rachel and her family are there if you need them and are really friendly. I was lucky and had lovely weather so was able to sit out and have breakfast watching the chicken have theirs. I'll definitely be going back in the summer.
