About the site


Three generations of the Squire family created a relaxed caravan and camping park. The peaceful and secluded park has a relaxed feel, but still has all the amenities expected of a good quality park. Higher Rew is in an area of outstanding natural beauty, one mile from South Sands beach. Its 90 grass pitches include plenty of electric for tents and tourers.

Open from Easter until the end of the autumn half term.

Site facilities include showers (20p), laundry and WiFi all available as standard. On site there is a tennis court for hire, large children's play area, play barn with table tennis, skittle alley, a pool table and a book exchange. There is a shop for essentials.

A pub is 1.5 miles away in Marlbourgh, whereas the bigger town of Salcombe has shops, cafes and restaurants.

Higher Rew has direct access to the South West Coast Path, with lovely walking routes on offer. The North Sands beach is only a short walk away, and the Salcombe Harbour has a number of small coves.

A 45 minute drive takes you to Dartmoor National Park, where there are numerous walking and cycling routes and opportunities, a well as The South Devon Railway, the River Dart Country Park, and Dartmoor Otter and Butterfly Sanctuary.

Sailing, surfing, boating, horse riding and golf courses are all in close proximity.

In Salcombe town itself there are a number of independent shops, cafes and restaurants.

The exotic gardens of the National Trust Overbecks is 1.5 miles away and there is a walk from East Soar which takes you to the the runway of what used to be RAF Bolt Head.
