I had a lovely weekend, just what I wanted. Right next to the beach for good long walks. The owners were really nice and friendly, they were helpful too. No pubs or shops nearby, I knew that beforehand and didn't feature in my weekend. I will be back when I next need a quiet weekend.

Looked for somewhere peaceful and on the beach. Captains House Campervans fitted the bill perfectly. 1 minutes walk to the beach, sea views from all the pitches, surrounded by farmland, sheep and a dairy herd. Hosts very friendly and a fantastic location. Dog loved it on the beach and I loved cooking over my campfire, raised firepit worked great in the sheltered bays.

We had a great one-night stay here with our campervan. The site is located in a very peaceful location right next to Bootle Beach. The facilities are as described, there are no showers or toilets but that wasn't a problem, as the facilities for water disposal and access to clean water were all next to our camper van. The site manager, Luke, was very attentive. He was always there to help when needed and gave great recommendations for things to do nearby.

So this was our first trip in our motorhome and it was just amazing! Views were excellent, beach was a 2 min walk! Lovely for pets! And the campsite itself was clean and had fresh water, cleaning water and waste disposal! The hosts were very welcoming and informative! Would recommend and go again!

This was my maiden voyage in my campervan and if all sites are going to be like this, I will be a happy camper 😁 Situated within a stones throw from the beach in a quiet location. Pick one of the 5 bays, which all face the sea in this idyllic spot. Luke and Sarah are really friendly and happy to help. If you have your own toilet and shower facilities on board, then this is a great place to visit. You have Muncaster Castle close by, which is a good day out, or just take in the breath-taking views and beach. Would highly recommend.

Booked for 2 nights for some time to explore the local area and relax. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel like they had known us all their lives. Perfect hosts. Great knowledge of local area and definitely predicts the weather almost to the second it will rain next. A quiet little spot to listen to the sea. Feel the elements when they arrive (wind). So nice to just listen to nature and relax. The owner's dogs are so friendly, we had lovely greeting every day. As we said to the owner we won't be telling anyone about the place because we need to keep a space for ourselves when we next visit. There will be a next time. So close to the beach...lovely views...peaceful. What is not to love...thanks for the stay.

Thanks Ruth. We are glad you enjoyed your stay despite the stormy weather and look forward to seeing again when you can use your awning.

Luke was very friendly and informative when we arrived, telling us about some of the local sites and attractions. The location is a 2 minute walk from the beach, which was exactly what we were after, as the doggo loves the sand. There was very limited phone signal which, again, was perfect for us as it allowed us to disconnect for a while by reducing screen time and the craziness that is the Internet.

If you require no frills but excellent facilities, great views, good walks and peace and quiet, this is for you. There are no showers or toilets but that is made clear on website.
