About Vessons Camping
Here you'll find an almost wild camping experience in a rural spot, without tarmac roads leading to pitches, but instead with access by driving across the fields. Top views and a very secluded feel await. Grassed pitches without electric are provided for both tent campers and smaller VW style campervans. No fear of noisy neighbours - there'll be a minimum of approximately 50 metres between all pitches! There is a separate four-acre field for families with young children, which proves very popular. Ground campfires and fire pits are welcome, and you can also bring something delicious along to BBQ for dinner! Nothing is too much trouble for your hosts, who will fill your empty water bottles each morning and bring them to your pitch! You can park by your pitch, and the team's farm vehicles are on hand to help if you run into any trouble with the weather.
Vessons Camping is open from 19/05 to 29/09.

Things to do on site and in the Shrewsbury area
Vessons is located in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so the views are simply stunning and the land is connected to a labyrinth of public footpaths. It's a walkers' paradise!
Take an afternoon stroll to the famous Devils Chair at the Stiperstones, visit the Bog Visitor Centre whilst you are there and and learn about the massive lead mining operations that went on in the area up to the early 1900s.
The historic towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow are within easy driving distance and the nearest pub is a mile or so. For the perfect Friday night, there's a selection of takeaways too.
Little ones love the sixteen acres of woodland! Being a back to nature site, it's about making your own fun - with wildlife watching, den building and more.
There are hares and rabbits playing in the fields, birds of prey in the sky and foxes and badgers. Shy wild deer can also be spotted at times.
Eastridge Woods is next door where you will find well signed routes for both novice and experienced bike riders which can be used free of charge .
