About Pot-a-Doodle-Do Wigwam Village
A peaceful space on the coast, this glamping site is ideally suited for those who love the great outdoors and want to be at one with nature. It holds onto a warm, family friendly atmosphere and also welcomes dogs as part of that family. If you bring a four-legged friend with you there's a beautiful beach beside the site where you can walk for miles and tire the dog out before settling down for the evening. On site there is a total of 23 wooden Wigwam pods. Most of these sleep up to five people and there are four that can comfortably sleep three. They all have electricity in them with a fridge, kettle and panel heater. So that you can sleep in comfort they have a bench type seating area with thick foam mattresses - and this easily converts into a wall to wall sleeping area. Even better, three of the Wigwams have ensuite facilities and a TV with built in DVD player. Guests must bring their own bedding and towels. Top of the Wigwam selection is the deluxe ensuite with its own kitchen and private shower facilities, ideal for those who like their own space and prefer not to share facilities. There's even a small patio and chairs so that you can admire the incredible views while you eat breakfast, and early risers can watch the sunrise. Three cosy canvas yurts are also available with toasty panel heaters and futons for sleeping on. There is a kitchen /prepping area on site and a toilet and shower block in easy reach. For when you fancy an alfresco dining experience, get some supplies from the glampsite shop and hire a BBQ hut for the evening. Campfires can be arranged, too, so you can sit outside and look up at the stars while toasting marshmallows. Guests must bring with them their own bedding, towels and toiletries, washing-up supplies (bowl, sponge and washing-up liquid), cutlery and crockery. Pots, pans and utensils are provided.

Holy Island is a very popular place to visit and it is daily cut off from the rest of the county by tidal waters so you have to check the timetable to be able to get over. Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle which is famous for being part of the Harry Potter films.
There are also famous gardens at Alnwick too with the famous water fountains and the Poison Garden. Boats go out daily from Seahouses to the Farne Islands where you can see puffins and seals on the islands.
The site is a 45 minute train ride from Edinburgh, which is stuffed with great day out activities, particularly if the weather has gone downhill. Get lost in the Scottish National Gallery amongst the masterpieces, or adults can get carried away on the Scotch Whisky Experiences, which tells the tale of this Scottish icon and includes a barrel ride.
Berwick upon Tweed is famous for its Elizabethan Walls and it is a beautiful walk around the town walls to imagine gunshot from the canons and look out at the wild North Sea.
