About Totteridge Farm Camping Pods & Camping
Sit back and relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful corner of rural Wiltshire. Set on a small farm with sweeping views over Martinsell Hill, the site is at the end of a no-through track, where you can escape from the madding crowds of other tourist hot spots. The adult only pods are all well equipped with double glazing, electricity and heating. Three have kingsize beds, perfect for couples or for solo travellers who likes a big bed for themselves! Two of the pods have twin beds, so are ideal for friends and family. All of the pods have a table and chairs and are fitted with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster, crockery, cutlery and glassware so you can enjoy self catering. Outside, each pod has a fire pit and picnic table for al fresco dining. There's also a water tap behind each pod for your convenience. You can bring your bedding, or if you prefer, there is an option to hire bedding in the dog-free pods. At the end of the day, you can relax by your fire pit and watch the sunset. Or, in an area that is blessed with dark skies, on a clear night (and especially during the Perseid meteorite shower in August), keep a lookout for shooting stars. The well-appointed shared WC and shower facilities are close by, and there is a dedicated washing up area behind them. Each pod comes with its own comprehensive tourist information folder, with leaflets on things to see and do, and details of several walking and cycle routes in the area. The farm is home to diverse habitats, including water meadows, woodland (smothered in bluebells in May), streams, arable fields and more. All support an abundance of wildlife, including kingfishers, herons and red kites soaring above. The bird song seems to last all day in spring and summer, and watching the bats flit over the pond in the evening light is a delight. If you want to book the whole site for a group getaway or special occasion, the site would be delighted to work with you to help make it happen. Two pods are dog friendly (with a maximum of two medium or smaller sized dogs per pod).

There is a huge network of footpaths, bridleways and byways to discover in the Vale of Pewsey, with several routes being just a short walk from your pod. The Wiltshire Cycleway runs within half a mile of the farm, as does Sustrans cycle route 4.
The Kennet and Avon Canal, with its picturesque towpath, is just a ten minute walk away, or you can explore the quiet country lanes and sleepy villages with their many thatched cottages. There are also many long-distance trails you can 'hop on / hop off and enjoy, including the Wansdkye Path, the Ridgeway National Trail and the Great Stones Way.
You can head for the wide-open chalk downlands of Salisbury Plain (30 minutes), great for off-road cycling. If you prefer woodland, explore the crisscrossed tracks and paths of ancient Savernake Forest (10 minutes), the largest privately owned forest in England.
Prime examples of Britain's industrial heritage can be found at nearby Wilton Windmill (15 minutes) and Crofton Beam Engines (15 minutes).
