A note from the site themselves...

I (Mark) and my better half (Jonathan) have fine art backgrounds. Jonathan is a painter and sculptor and I specialise in modern British art and original vintage movie posters.

We designed and built the whole retreat, including the huts, from scratch personally by hand over a two year period during the pandemic. It was an enormous challenge and there were many very long 14-15 hour days / 7 days a week! Our vision was to create a tranquil retreat, where people can switch off, relax and reconnect.

Our mantra has always been, and continues to be, to make each and every guest feel special and that they are the first ones to stay (in fact we have been asked several times if indeed they are just that!) and from the feedback and consistent 5 star reviews, our guests are very happy.

We provide unique breaks you'll remember for the rest of your life for all the right reasons! We very much look forward to welcoming you. From Mark and Jonathan (and Mr Prickle, the cat)

Utterly gorgeous shepherd's hut stay with beautiful views, surroundings, and nearby amenities. Mark and Jonathan were gracious and attentive hosts, with the perfect level of input and "just leave you to it" approach. Shepherd's Hut - Angharad the Poacher's HutJun 2024

My husband and I are just back from a 2 night break (our 1st experience of glamping) and extremely impressed. The setting is beautiful and tranquil. The standard of cleanliness and attention to detail could not have been better. Mark & Jonathan have thought of everything and some lovely little touches you wouldn't expect. We had our little dog with us and he had the best time as well. We will be recommending to our family & friends.

Site's response

It was a pleasure to welcome all three of you and we're so pleased you enjoyed your stay, especially as you were glamping newbies ;) We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Very best, Mark & Jonathan (and Mr Pickle) x
