Just 15 minutes outside of Aberystwyth, Ffosygrafel Isaf Camping offers a peaceful, eco friendly stay on a five acre site, part of a larger woodland regeneration scheme. There are mown circular pitches for tents, along with hardstanding campervan pitches and a charming shepherd's hut. Enjoy access to great off-grid facilities and a communal fire pit. Family and dog friendly site within five minutes of the coast, in between the sea and mountains.

Scenic and tranquil site. Take care when turning into car park in anything bigger than a car. Struggled getting our transporter in and out. Other than that really enjoyed our one night there. The weather was rough but the site was sheltered and large grassed area for any size tent. Brilliant. Hosts were very welcoming and would recommend a very peaceful and eco site.

Thank you Shaun, yes I may have to put up a sign to tell drivers to take that corner wide - thanks for that feedback. Glad you had a good time here despite the Welsh weather. Please come again!

We booked this campsite as a last minute weekend break for myself, hubby and our German Shepherd Sammy in our campervan with gazebo. We were greeted on arrival by very friendly owners who gave us information about the site and kindly offered us an alternate plot where we were able to allow the dog to roam a bit more freely. The site has 2 compost toilets, 2 showers and a lovely pod with sofas and washing up facilities. A 'phone bench' is placed at the top of the hill where you can sit if you need to check your emails (or not) and also get a lovely view of the sea in the distance. Approx a 10 minute drive to Borth beach. We spent a lovely afternoon in Borth with great fish and chips. Aberystwyth was a short dive away and although the weather was against us we still enjoyed a walk along the sea front. All in all a very pleasant stay and would happily return.

Lovely remote, eco, off-grid site with fab low impact facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here (one night in a VW Camper) and had a great evening around the campfire chatting with fellow campers, as well as spending time talking with Jono (the owner) about the property and our like-minded sensibilities. The roundhouse is magical. The showers are very well designed, lovely and hot and with lots of space to change without getting everything wet. The compost loos were clean and had no offensive smells. It was pretty windy while we were there, which alongside the cooler temps, made it feel quite chilly for August, although by the 2nd day I think we were beginning to acclimatise! This was a real highlight in our 2-week touring holiday around Wales and we highly recommend to similarly minded souls.

Off the beaten track, this campsite was incredibly well-maintained with gorgeous solar-powered showers, clean compost toilets and stunning views! Having only a compost bin got us thinking about our waste production. Thanks Jono for your warm welcome!

Lovely, quiet, well-equipped site with friendly and helpful staff. Eco-conscious with beautifully presented compost toilets and solar showers and communal areas. Very central for visiting the attractions of the area, although possibly a bit out of the way for the less adventurous without a car. I would definitely go back.

Thanks Jennifer, so glad you enjoyed it here. Look forward to your return!

2 adults and a toddler went on our first camping trip in a long time and chose Ffosygrafel Isaf Campsite. Couldn't recommend this place enough if you want a tranquil place to stay with lovely views. The campsite has only 7 or 8 pitches which are mowed into a beautiful wild grass hillside. Each pitch has its own path leading to it and they provide wheelbarrows to get your kit there. The facilities really were 5 star. 3 brand new composting toilets that were spotless, along with 3 solar showers which gave hot water even on a cloudy day. There is also a beautifully constructed round house to relax and cook in if the weather turns. Borth beach only a 10 min drive away. Already planning our next visit. Well done to the owners for creating such a nice space 👏👏

Had an absolutely gorgeous stay here. Ruth and Jono were so welcoming. The vibe is very relaxed, and we loved the eco-facilities, which were so clean. Compost toilets can sometimes be stinky, but these weren't at all. The location is stunning and really handy for both Borth and Aberystwyth, highly recommend.

An excellent all-round experience. The facilities were clean and only a short walk from the pitches. The pitches are large and flat, around 15 metres in diameter and very well spaced. The camping field was very well kept, it was a very quiet and tranquil experience and the owners were pleasant and welcoming. Will definitely visit again..

Thanks Andrew! Look forward to the next time.

We had a wonderful time with Jono and Ruth. The place is fantastic and you can really relax. The toilets and showers are extremely charming and everything is perfectly clean. The dishwashing house was still a work in progress, but it will definitely be fantastic. We were able to stay at the Shepherd's Hut for one night as the weather forecast wasn't good, and we wanted to try out this place too. We were thrilled! The three small pitches for tourers are located between trees and the tent pitches in the middle of the field are set in an incredibly beautiful landscape. This place is full of charm and warmth.
