Pigs in Blankets is nestled away in the secluded Suffolk countryside, overlooking the quaint seaside town of Southwold. The site welcomes tent campers in the spacious six acre meadow, with luxury ensuite pods with hot tubs available for glampers. Located on a working farm, you'll also experience county living with fresh produce available and the neighbouring fields filled with cattle, pigs and sheep. The beach is also just a ten minute walk away!

Great location, just a 15 minute walk to the beach for an evening swim. Ran out of gas for my cooker so was delighted to find the Friday night pizza oven on site. Little bar as well had I not brought wine with me! Really nice showers with plenty of hot water. Will return.

We chose the site because we wanted to be in nature and close to the beach and thought it would be quiet, but we were unlucky on the second night as there was a noisy gathering next door until way past 10pm. Also, some inconsiderate teenagers walking across our pitch and playing cricket in front of it which set our 2 dogs off. Otherwise, very dog friendly, but there were no dog mess bins on the walk to Southwold which left some mess. Sadly, we were too late to hire a fire pit or BBQ. Lovely people running the site! đź‘Ť

We took our two small children here. It was brilliant, lovely facilities including sinks to wash you pots and pans. We loved it, very safe for our kids to play without the worry of cars moving and easy to find with a easy car free walk to the beach. We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Really enjoyed our stay near to Southwold. A lovely setup and convenient 15min walk into Southwold. Good facilities. If I were to suggest an improvement - a seating area in the bathroom facilities would have been really useful. Also the showers were very slippery. But we really enjoyed ourselves.
Best Southwold campsite - must visit!

A good campsite in a pleasant location, about 20 mins walk from the pier. Basic amenities but staff were helpful and I enjoyed my stay.

My son and I rarely stay on campsites as we dislike them and mainly wild camp on Dartmoor or in the Peak District. However, Pigs in Blankets was excellent; the site itself is great with plenty of space and was very quiet despite there being a fair number of tents, including a couple of large groups. The facilities are excellent and are being further improved. We would definitely return; indeed, we are planning to do so later in the summer as we have another walk and explore to do near Southwold. Southwold is a short walk away; we had several conversations with the pigs while walking there and back in the evenings.
Beautiful, peaceful site!

A fantastic campsite! We loved the freeness of where to pitch our tent. We loved the long grass, it added to the privacy of the pitch. Lovely walk to the beach - only 10-15 mins walk to Southwold.
A fantastic stay at a great campsite!

I stayed at Pigs in Blankets for one night recently with my son for his first experience camping. The site and location are absolutely great and the walk down to Southwold is ideal. We loved it and will definitely be back.

Perfect location for exploring the area with a short easy walk into Southwold. Beautiful site with great facilities. Really safe for kids as cars parked separately from camping pitches (wheelbarrows provided to transport your gear).

A remarkably good site. With the best showers I've seen at a campsite. A short walk to beach. This place is now my number 1 place to stay.

Absolutely lovely area. Showers and toilets were constantly clean. Lovely owners. We will be visiting again. Long grass is kept for the environment and wildlife. No issue with using wheelbarrows to transport our luggage, however maybe a few more would be appreciated in busier times. You had the opportunity to pitch your tent wherever you wanted to on the large field, so could be as close or as far away from other people as you wanted. Very quiet site, and perfect for a relaxing break.

This campsite is potentially excellent - the location is great, its facilities are good and cleanliness is admirable with hot showers included in the price. I feel the owners have tried hard to establish a good little campsite. However, (and it's a big however for me) you are not allowed to park your car by the side of your tent which, for me, meant eight round trips of 300 metres (that's walking 2.4 kilometres - approximately 1 1/2 miles) pushing a wheelbarrow with every bit of camping equipment inside it. Ridiculous. Most of my camping equipment would usually stay in the car (all carefully packed) and would only be taken out as and when required. Not so here. Instead, it all sat outside in the pouring rain, as there was no space in a 2 man tent to take it inside. My double air mattress was blown up using an electric air pump that plugs into my car cigarette lighter, but then had to be carried above my head to my tent 150 metres away. On departure, it took me over two hours to decamp, having first wandered the site looking for a wheelbarrow. I can only imagine how much longer it would have taken me if it was pouring with rain - thankfully the sun was shining. The camping area is flat and tent pegs are easily driven in. However, the grass is left tall in at least 50% of the area and this leaves no space for children to play. The long grass could be a fire hazard during dry times (this June for example) with fire pits and BBQ's burning everywhere. When it's wet (as this July and August), the long grass leaves your footware and trousers soaked through. For me, a solution would be to allow campers to park their car by their tent. Cut the grass short (at all times) and mark out a circular vehicle access route 10m in from the perimeter with 2 other routes cut across from front to back. This will enable the existing car pack to be converted into camping pitches or could be used as a safe play area for children (maybe provide a swing or two, maybe a sand pit) Southwold is such a lovely place and I visit regularly. If the opportunity to park my car by my tent was to be introduced, I for one would visit regularly. If things remain as they are, I will not be visiting again simply because it was just too much like hard work and that is not what I was looking for. Happy camping.
