Came here with a group of friends and had an amazing time. Facilities were clean and of a good standard. Owners couldn't have been more helpful. Lakeside pitch was definitely worth the extra fee. Will be coming back again for sure.

Beautiful place and very well maintained. Very friendly staff who makes you feel welcomed and with them patrolling at night to keep noise level down and surroundings safe. Would definitely go back again and highly recommend it.
A great back to basics site

The staff were genuine, friendly and helpful. This is a nature lover's and/or fishing lover's kind of site. No luxury, but the spaces between each pitch give you a sense of wild camping away from anyone else.
Nice secluded site

I had planned to stay two nights but on the day I arrived, it had rained heavily all day and the road just outside the site was blocked by floodwater. I had to go round on a detour to approach from the other direction. The site is in a lovely secluded spot, the owners are friendly and facilities clean and well appointed. I only stayed one night in the end, mainly due to my work taking me elsewhere but also because of the sodden ground. Not the fault of the site at all. I imagine in better weather the site will be lovely. Definitely a dark sky location too! I will come back at some point. Nice place.

We stayed in the woodland area and it was lovely to hear the owls at night and then the dawn chorus. Human noise was nice and quiet at night, as promised. The toilets were plentiful and clean and showers were good. We were on our way to Wales, so stayed only one night.
Laid back, unfussy campsite

We loved our stay. The campsite is unfussy and suited our love of 'wilder' camping (without being truly wild) with a great woodland area where we camped under the trees. The owners were friendly, laid back and helpful but without rigid 'rules'. We were surprised to be able to use a fire pit and BBQ in the woodlands (we did have quite a lot of rain) and they were really helpful when we struggled to get our fire going. The swimming lake was small but great fun and a lovely alternative to a swimming pool. The marshalled electric quad biking was fantastic - I'd definitely recommend this. A small 'shop' in the reception hut stocked useful essentials. Conveniently located between Ludlow and Church Stretton. Probably not one for anyone who likes more in the way of facilities, but a great experience for the wilder camper. We loved it! Thank you.

We stayed at the site to go walking on Long Mynd. The serivce was great, the area was beautiful and clean and the wild swimming lake was great fun. There's also a couple of little pubs nearby and the whole experience was great.

It had been raining really heavily for about 5 days before I arrived, so I wasn't hopeful of good weather! I had a huge choice of pitches for my small tent, so chose one in the woods, but close-ish to toilets. The rain stopped and the first night I think there may have been just me. Good Friday was an incredibly hot day and loads arrived, but there was still plenty of space all around. There were a few toilet blocks which were cleaned throughout the day and also washing up areas. I can't vouch for the showers as I didn't use them but others did and seemed happy. it was great to be actually allowed to have a fire and boxes of firewood were available for a small charge. Some people braved the wild swimming area but it looked far too cold for me to try it, but changing huts were there for those who were brave. There is also a shooting range, but I didn't have a go and small quad bikes for hire, but again I didn't use this. The site itself is huge with about 2 fishing lakes and a separate one for swimming or paddle boarding. Site was clean and tidy and a small shop sold basic supplies. Staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The sky at night was just unbelievable and I swear I could see the Milky Way as there is just no light pollution. Although it did get busy, there is plenty of space to pitch your tent so you don't have loads of other tents, which was nice. it's a shame I was only there for 2 nights but I had other things planned, or else I would have stayed. I will definitely go back and stay in the same spot again if I can as it was just perfect.

Stayed with 7 of my friends and booked 2 pitches. The staff are so lovely and check very often we’re all okay! Firewood is available for a fire and there is such a variety of beautiful pitches! Facilities are lovely and clean and we said it was one of the best showers we’ve had! The swimming lake was also lovely to be in, and very cheap access too. Thank you so much for having us, we’d definitely come again!

Richard and team were very helpful, accessible and polite. The location is spot on beautiful, with lots of walks in woods and around ponds to keep you occupied. There is a swimming area you can use. We hired out the air guns and went target shooting. We also hired the electric kids quad bikes out, which the kids had fun on. The facilities are basic but clean, but the site is sold on wild camping anyhow, so basic is better than nothing! I definitely will be returning very soon this summer.
Brilliant campsite, great fishing and good walks!

We camped by the specimen lake, was beautifully peaceful - toilets in easy reach and sink for washing up (cold water only) we explored the forest and the fields within the campsite. The play area is basic but keeps the kids entertained - my partner fished and had a great time, caught some mirror carp, common carp, ghost carp plus some others! We will be back!

Pleasant stay in the woodland bit of the campsite. Quite a bit of clutter all over the site, but a very nice lake and ok facilities.

This was one of our first times camping as a family and we picked the perfect spot. It's a gorgeous and very peaceful location. We even had help putting our tent up when they took pity on us struggling... We loved the fire rings that were provided and the highlight of the trip was the fishing with Andy at the Tackle Shack. We had never been fishing before but it was brilliant fun. Highly recommend Andy for the fishing lesson, really good value and put the cap on a lovely trip for us.
