About Cromarty Camping
Planning to tackle the NC500 or take a trip road trip to the Black Isle? This coastal touring site is the perfect place to spend an overnight stay or two. Nestled at the edge of the Cromarty Firth, the site offers panoramic views across the water to Ben Wyvis, Easter Ross, Caithness and Sutherland. Park up on one of the eight hardstanding spacious pitches with electric hook up. Six of these pitches are right at the water's edge and are suitable for touring vehicles measuring a maximum of 6m, while the other two are set slightly back and can accommodate units measuring up to 8m. Access to all the site's facilities are included in one flat nightly charge. Enjoy easy access to the beach and coastline directly in front of the site, or explore the town of Cromarty via a five minute beachfront walk to reach the harbour, working lighthouse and research centre. Enjoy the town's vibrant local pubs (with craft beers on offer), eat out at one of a number of the town's cafes or restaurants, and stock up on local produce from the foodie haunts. Fancy a film or an injection of art and culture whilst you stay? Cromarty also has a thriving local cinema with regular weekly screenings, museums and even a haven for local artists - the Cromarty Arts Trust. If you want to explore further afield, travel by local ferry to explore what Easter Ross has to offer, or hook up with the NC500's East Coast route. The site is dog friendly but kindly asks that you keep them on leads at all times and clean up after them.
