About West Auchenhean
This peaceful site sits in rural countryside just a half-hour drive southwest of Glasgow city centre. On the edge of the Clyde Muishiel Regional Park, you can enjoy the stunning views and excellent walks on your doorstep. Just cross the lane and head into the park for longer hill walks (boots required). You're also just a 20 minute drive into Largs for beaches and Kelburn Country Park. Plus, you're only 30 minutes to the UK's largest loch, Loch Lomond. The site boasts two luxurious, pet-friendly glamping pods, which sleep up to six guests each. A double bed, sofa bed and bunk beds provide a comfy rest after your day exploring, and an equipped kitchenette and dining table are the perfect space to cook up a delicious meal. Unwind in your private hot tub then relax in the wood fired sauna and cold plunge pool with views across the nearby countryside and fields. Perfect for all the family! Dogs are welcome too.
West Auchenhean is open all year round in 2024 and 2025.
Each pod has its own private hot tub, a heated ensuite shower and bathroom, cooking facilities, and WiFi access.
Guests can also access to the wood fired sauna with a cold plunge pool.
For grabbing the essentials, a Tesco Superstore is a five minute drive. While for your evening tipple, the nearest pub is The Brown Bull which is a five minute drive away.

Can't fault this experience! Everything you could need in the pod and clean. Much easier than camping whilst also feeling like a more luxury break away! Lovely quiet site with only 2 pods and key safe on arrival, and numbers for owners if needed…but left to just enjoy the stay which is what we wanted. In a very peaceful location but lots around the area and supermarket 5 minutes away. Will definitely look to return when we can!

Absolutely amazing! I booked this for my partner's 30th birthday and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I booked, Barbara was there if I had any questions, she also took in a delivery for us, which was really nice of her. The pod was amazing and the hot tub was brilliant. It was so peaceful and quiet, we loved every minute. We will definitely be back.

Things to do on site and in the Lochwinnoch area
There are three golf clubs within a few minutes drive, Lochwinnoch Golf Club with it's modern clubhouse, Kilbirnie Golf Club and Beith Golf Club.
Kelburn Country Park, based in Largs, is a great family day out
Glasgow City Centre is a half hour drive (or direct train from Lochwinnoch)- the place to be for a spot of shopping, or a delicious meal out.
The Clyde Muishiel Regional Park is adjacent to the site, and filled with stunning walks for you to enjoy, and explore!
Largs, Portencross and many other coastal beaches are only a 20 min drive away
