Set just ten minutes from the foodie town of Castle Douglas this rural site is an ideal escape to the countryside. Conveniently located off the A75, explore the Dumfries and Galloway area or unwind by the beautiful lake and take a stroll to see what wildlife you can spot! A small and secluded site with five electric hardstanding pitches on offer with 16 amp electric hook ups. Pitches are set on gravel and suitable for campervans, caravans and motorhomes. Spacious, with room for a car and an awning alongside your unit. For days out, the coast is just 20 minutes from the site, enjoy a day at the seaside at Rockcliffe or Sandyhills before returning to your pitch. Or, Castle Douglas is only a ten minute drive away with a golf course as well as over 50 independent shops and eateries. For those who enjoy biking the 7Stanes bike trails are within easy reach for a bit of adventure! This site is a member of the Caravan and Motorhome Club. Dogs are welcome onsite but must be kept on a lead at all times due to surrounding livestock.

Facilities include toilets and a shower block that is heated all year round. All pitches have a 16 amp electric hook up too.
There is also an onsite lake, ideal for wildlife spotting.
For picking up any essentials, there is a Co-op in Castle Douglas, just ten minutes from the site. For meals out The Laurie Arms is a five minute drive away or head to Castle Douglas for some more options.

Lovely quiet spot! As it is dog friendly, it would be great to have one part of a field where dogs could have time to play.

Lovely tranquil site. Showers and loos excellent. Large self contained units....almost like having your own bathroom..and lovely and warm. Friendly hosts. Good dog walking. Highlight for us was the cows coming down to visit in the morning

Sit back and relax at the onsite lake enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Spot red kites, moorhens, hares and deer around the site and be sure to say hello to the livestock too!
There are lots of walking trails nearby, great for exercising your four-legged friend without having to travel too far! The 7Stanes bike trails are also easily accessible from the site, so be sure to bring your mountain bike along!
For those with an interest in history, there are ruins from the 19th Century a short walk from the site entrance and Cairn Holy (30 minutes) is a set of neolithic chambered tombs dating back over 4000 years!
Foodies will love Castle Douglas (10 minutes) known for it's independent shops and eateries, you'll be spoilt for choice! Here there is also a swimming pool and a golf course too.
