Without hesitation the cleanest most luxurious shower block I have ever used, beats luxury hotels never mind campsites! The site itself is great, there is electric and water, flat handstand pitches and a lovely wee fishing lake. I was here for a weekend on a work related course, but if you're in this area then I cannot recommend this site enough.

Just lovely. Perfect for hubby to fish, caught plenty every day. Also, really nice surroundings for dog walking. The shower block is very luxurious, better than most 5 star hotels! I would very much recommend.

A stunning holiday park with very generous pitches. We had a hard standing pitch with grass area for sitting, a light, power and water on the pitch. All pitches have a lovely view of various fishing lakes which are well kept and very attractive. Plenty of wildlife to watch. The shower block is a stunning luxury block with six unisex showers/toilets and also contains a very clean pot washing/washing up area, all very warm, new and welcoming. The site has a small shop mostly selling snacks. Very friendly helpful staff on our arrival. A nice flat holiday site with plenty of dog walking areas plus a forest walk to the local Stretton village, only half a mile. We had a wonderful meal in the Jackson Stops pub in the village which we highly recommend, best meal of our holiday. Only stayed one night as it was on our journey home but would definitely stay again and was the best site we stayed at during our week away. Close to the A1 and you can hear the traffic but it doesn't detract from the quality of the site. Well done a fabulous holiday site.

Perfect site for a peaceful getaway. Clean, modern and first class facilities. Staff were friendly and as we were new to the area, they gave us ideas of places to visit and what was around the local area. My husband enjoyed the fishing and pleased with what he caught. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. We will definitely be returning, but for longer next time.

Very clean and tidy site. Beautiful shower block. Pitch 17 is lower than the drain, so couldn't drain grey water straight to drain. Site secluded, only one pub / restaurant 0.7 miles away, not a safe walk.

Really lovely site with 26 pitches, all of which have uninterrupted views across the lakes, so you have no one in front or behind your pitch. Some of our neighbours were into fishing and could literally fish from right in front of their caravans. The toilet/shower facilities were quite the best we've ever come across. There are 6 combined toilet/shower wet rooms that you'd be happy to have in a top class ensuite hotel room. My only reservation about the set up is that if all the wet rooms are in use, there is nowhere else to go to the toilet. There is a terrific local pub/restaurant a short walk away and Oakham, Rutland Water, Uppingham and Stamford are a short drive away.
Perfect quiet site

Excellent park. The facilities were superb. Very clean and modern. The area around the lakes was very well kept. The pitches were just right with some grass in addition to the hard standing. This is one place we will come back to most definitely. Plenty of lakes for fishing right on your doorstep.

We had a relaxing 2 night stay at this peaceful site where all the pitches overlooked the lake. The views were beautiful and the site was very quiet. Ideal for a relaxing getaway. The shower and toilet block were amazing and we'd have been happy to have these facilities in a hotel. Never had such luxury on a campsite before. The staff were very helpful and recommended a lovely local pub for dinner. We went to Jackson Stops Inn which is an easy walk through the woods if it's not too muddy. We will definitely be back to this site.

Wow! A wonderful location with great facilities, friendly staff and spotlessly clean. We booked 2 pitches and met up with friends from the south, we had a wonderful time. We are a Motorhome towing a car, with a large awning. There was plenty of room and you are not overlooked by other visitors. The views are terrific, we were there in February, so the birds will be even more enjoyable as the spring goes on. The island in the centre of the lake had cranes visiting. We heard from a neighbour that they saw carp jumping in the lake, we didn't see that but I'm sure it's true. The local pubs are great, we had Sunday lunch at Jackson Stops, which was excellent. There is lots to see and do locally. We will be returning 2 or 3 times a year, especially as it's adults only. Even though we were there at half term, it was quiet and peaceful. We highly recommend this site, just don't book when we want to go (joke!)

We stayed for two nights in our campervan. We were very impressed with the site. The pitches are around two small lakes. It was very quiet apart from the occasional sound of fish jumping out of the water! The shower and toilet facilities are the best we've seen on a campsite. They are brand new and set up as separate bathrooms all beautifully done and would not be out of place in a five star hotel. I would definitely visit again.

What a lovely site this is, all the pitches are south facing and you have no caravans in front of you or behind you. Great location for Oakham, Stamford & Rutland Water. Great fishing lakes. Owners are friendly and helpful. We stayed an extra night because we were so chilled. The bathrooms are as good as you'd find in a 5* hotel. Definitely will be coming back here.
