Really lovely stay. The hut is clean and the secure garden was perfect for me and my dog to relax during the day. There are lots of lovely pubs and walks a short drive away (and walks from the site directly). Lovely bacon and eggs on arrival but the tea shop on site is now closed so definitely bring food/ drinks with you. Would definitely come back!

My partner and I were looking for a last-minute place to stay over the May Bank holiday and were lucky enough to find a vacancy at Friends Farm. The hosts were super friendly, kind and welcoming, and provided us with complimentary packs of sausages and bacon, as well as half a dozen eggs from the farm. Warning though, the sausages are dangerously delicious so make sure you have someone/people to share them with otherwise you might end up eating the whole pack! The location was lovely, cosy and clean and the balcony equipped with chairs and a table, with a lovely view over the farm and beyond was perfect, given the weather we were lucky to have. We had two small dogs with us and had the paddock to ourselves on the second night, which allowed them a bit of freedom too. We are looking to relocate to Norfolk, and our stay at Friends Farm really gave us a taste of the life we are hoping to have for ourselves. Overall, lovely, and we would highly recommend.

Where do I start? The Shepherds Hut was spotless. Built from the ground up by the owner, it has marvellous facilities. The shower was great and the toilet was very modern and clean. The living area was beautiful and was set out in a country style. It had all mod cons. It had 2 electric rings, a fridge, dishwasher and combo oven. The bed folded down from the wall and was really comfy to sleep in. There was also a gas barbecue, loungers and a large parasol at our disposal. Our hosts Keith and Val were very friendly and welcoming and that extended to putting 6 farm fresh eggs, 6 sausages and 6 rashers of bacon in the fridge ready for when we arrived. At no extra cost. These were all from their farm on which the Hut resides. Everything you need is in the hut but should you need more, there is a farm shop on site that can supply most of the things you are likely to need. Every detail was thought out. Even the wood for the log burner was inside the hut itself should you need it. It is very dog friendly as the huts sit in a small, well fenced paddock of their own. It was so quiet and peaceful with the occasional bleat of a sheep breaking the solitude. It has a TV in the hut but we listened to the radio most of the time. Be aware that these are for over 18's only but I think that rule is reasonable if you are looking for a peaceful rest. Overall, this is a 5 star stay and I cannot find anything to complain about. We had a fantastic time and will book again when we have chance to go.

Just back from our fifth visit to Friends Farm shepherd's huts, we absolutely adore this place. Two comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean huts set in an enclosed paddock where our young whippet can safely roam. It's quiet, with stunning views across the rolling countryside, and some of the most amazing sunsets you'll ever see. We've visited in all seasons now, and even in the colder months the huts are warm and cosy with the log burner lit (wonderful eco logs made with recycled coffee grounds!) There is a BBQ for use in the summer, and there are now newly constructed shelters, in keeping with the surroundings, made with timber and willow. There is a fabulous well stocked farm shop and café, open Thurs to Sat with pretty much everything you need. (We are partial to the locally produced dairy ice cream!) Alburgh is the perfect base for exploring the Norfolk/Suffolk countryside, although we tend to just sit and relax on the decking. An abundance of wildlife, ideal for bird watchers. Superb walks and plenty of public footpaths across the surrounding land (be aware these tend to grow up quite quickly in summer, and boots needed in the winter). Val and Keith the owners are lovely and couldn't be more welcoming; they leave you in peace but always make it clear they are on hand should you need anything. The best thing about this peaceful place is that usually you end up sharing the paddock with like-minded people who come here to unwind and relax, and to enjoy the surroundings. The hardest thing about Friends Farm is when it's time to go home. We always look forward to our return visit. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful place.
Perfect!

Wonderful, relaxing stay, just me and my 2 dogs. Owners were very helpful with knowledge of the area, dogs walks, dog friendly pubs etc. Huts are just perfect, everything you need, even an induction hob and dishwasher! Their farm shop is fab too, not overpriced and they do great coffee and cake (they also do other food!) Will hopefully be back soon.
