Samlesbury Hall is a historic house in Lancashire, and is almost 700 years old, offering guests the chance to bed down in a truly unique spot.
About Samlesbury Hall Shepherd's Hut Hamlet
The hamlet at Samlesbury Hall is a collection of 18 brightly coloured shepherd's huts, set in the grounds of arguably one of the most haunted locations in Britain. Glamping has never been so exciting! The huts are each a room in their own right, with accommodation for up to four people in each hut, complete with memory foam mattresses and an ensuite bathroom and power shower. The huts have full central heating, making them suitable for a stay at any time of the year. Each hut is also fitted with plug sockets and USB ports for your convenience. Outside of each hut is a picnic bench and fire pit, for you to sit back and relax toasting marshmallows and singing songs around the campfire. There is one dog friendly hut but please book pets in advance. Each hut can sleep up to four people in 2 double beds in bunk bed style, with an ensuite bathroom too. Outside of each hut is a picnic bench and a fire pit, for you to spend a relaxing evening toasting marshmallows around the campfire. The huts really operate as their own hotel room - and more!

Site rules and policies
Check-in is between 2pm and 5pm, a late check-in can be arranged, just let us know in advance!
We have one dog friendly hut - please do not bring any pets unless booked with us!
No wild parties, the hamlet is secluded but please remember there will be other guests staying on site.
Things to do on site and in the Preston area
If you dare, you can wander around the grounds in the evening, and put your ghost hunting skills to the test! The hall is open for visitors every day apart from Saturdays and the occasional Friday.
Samlesbury Hall is free to enter, so be sure to make a day of it! On Sundays, there are guided tours taking place (free as well!), you can then stay in the restaurant for lunch or pop over for a waffle and some ice cream in Dottie's Wafflery, which is within the hall!
Throughout school holidays, there are numerous different activities taking place at the hall. Team this with a visit up to the Bee Centre, a trip to see the animals on the mini farm or to burn some energy in the wonderful Mayflower Play Area.
If you're after something a little beyond the site, Brockholes Nature Reserve is just a 5 minute drive away, where you'll also find the famous Preston Guild Wheel Cycle Path.
Samlesbury Hall is just a few minutes off the M6 at junction 31, meaning that Blackpool, Lytham and Lancaster are all within half an hour of the hall. Manchester and Liverpool take less than an hour to travel to.
