Roundoak Farm is set mainly on grassland, which focuses on rare breed sheep and cattle, including Hebridean sheep, and Highland cattle. Roundoak offers visitors access to the tranquil beauty of the Kentish Countryside, and also the experience of an authentic working farm with rare animals.
About Roundoak Farm
The site is located outside of Maidstone on the southerly slopes of the Greensand Ridge overlooking the beautiful Weald of Kent on an authentic working farm taking care of rare breeds including North Ronaldsay and Boreray sheep, and Vaynol, White Park, and Irish Moiled cattle. Well maintained, you'll find level mown grass and hardstanding pitches, both with and without electric hook up as required. All pitches are generous in size and south facing for your comfort, overlooking the farm and woodland.

Site rules and policies
This is an adult only campsite.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome if kept on leads.
Arrival and departure times flexible between the hours of 10am and 6pm.
Open fires are not permitted, however visitors are welcome to use raised barbecues.
Things to do on site and in the Sutton Valence area
There are five acres of wooded walks around the site open to guests who want to stretch their legs.
Guests are welcome to look around the farmyard by arrangement and meet the amazing animals. Depending on the time of year, there are normally sheep, lambs, pigs, piglets, cows and calves on site as well as chickens, chicks, turkeys, and ducks that roam around freely.
The farm produces wool bed throws for purchase as well as branded clothing by Musto- so you can browse and shop from the site for some fun extra items.
If you fancy a rural fry up, home produce is always available and includes eggs and tasty meat.
Maidstone is nearby and this is great castle country. Leeds Castle and Hever Castle are ideal day trips and you won't want to miss Penshurst Place with its gardens.
The Kentish vineyards at Tenterden, Biddenden and Staplehurst are a must for wine lovers. Kent is the Garden of England, so learn how they make these tasty drinks.
The Cathedral City of Canterbury is within a convenient drive. Browse the finery of St Augustine's Abbey, or get into local history at the Canterbury Roman Museum.
