Things to do on site and in the Sandwich area
The local Pegwell Bay National Nature Reserve is a good place to spot some wildlife when you're not fishing, or take a wander.
If you fancy a look back into the past, make for Richborough's Roman artefacts and remains. Canterbury is another great place for exploring, with a famous cathedral, Canterbury Tales attraction and lots of good places to eat and drink.
If the sun shines you can be on the beach at Ramsgate within 15-20 minutes and it also has an attractive harbour and a maritime museum.
