About Golden Cap Holiday Park

Golden Cap Holiday Park has a superb location in the small village of Seatown, right on the Jurassic Coast at Seatown Beach. Nestled in a quiet valley by a stream and surrounded by National Trust land, it's a perfect location for a relaxing holiday involving walking, exploring and dining out. Pitch up on non-electric grass pitches in the Big Berries summer camping field, situated up on the hill with views across the valley and coast, or on hard-base pitches with electric, water and drainage. If you're more glamper than camper, book a stay in one of the Jurassic Escape Pods, fitted with a double bed, two single beds, kitchen and bathroom. Linens are not provided so please remember to bring your own, or add a bedding pack to your booking. Pets are welcome in two out of six of these pods. At the front of the park, close to the beach, there is a selection of luxury two and three bedroom lodges with sea or countryside views, as well as two and three bedroom caravans and deluxe caravans, many with sea views. Golden Cap Holiday Park is dog-friendly. There is a dog exercising meadow next to the beach and footpaths through the park and across the surrounding 2,000 acres of National Trust land. Please do note dogs are not permitted on Seatown Beach between 1st May and 30th September. Campfires and fire pits are not permitted and BBQs must be raised from the ground.

Camping, touring and camping pods are open from March until end of November while the Big Berries Camping Field is open from May until the end of August.

A note from the site themselves...

Golden Cap is a family-run holiday park that has been in the same family for over 35 years. It has a beautiful and idyllic location on the World Heritage Coastline, just 150 yards from Seatown Beach.

The views and walks around the area are spectacular. It's a place to really get away from it all, with walking, fossil hunting, great pubs and lovely places to visit along the coast, including Lyme Regis, West Bay and Abbotsbury.

The park isn't your typical all singing, all dancing park, it's a place to get away from it all, relax and unwind and spend quality time with friends and family. If you do prefer more of those kind of facilities, our nearby Highlands End Holiday Park has a bar and restaurant, swimming pool, soft play and more.

Medium Tent - Big Berries Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

Very nice location. Road to site very narrow but plenty of passing places. Toilets however, not good. 5 out of 10 out of order showers were good. Near beach. All in all, nice stay, would book again.

Small Tent - Big Berries Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

A lovely location to camp or stay in a caravan/lodge, plenty of walks and hikes for all age groups. The on site food trucks were a blessing especially with the poor weather, and were reasonably priced. The only thing I would suggest for improvement would be to increase the showers, especially to be available on the Big Berries campsite field. It would get extremely busy in the morning for the use of the showers and there would be no hot water. All in all, a fantastic getaway!

VW-Type Campervan - Big Berries Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

Lovely, clean and tidy site. Good location - close to the beach and the South West Coastal Path, beautiful scenery. And we even made it to Bridport to run in a very wet Park Run! Staff in the reception were super helpful, always polite. Great Tikka van on Sunday evening too. Facilities were good, lovely shower and wash block - and the washing up facilities were good too. My only criticism is that the showers were lukewarm at best - however, it was only a couple of days, so not a real problem.
