Nestled in the Peak District, Sweet Knoll Camping is an ideal spot to explore the National Park, set next to a family run farm with countryside views. The site welcomes tent campers across several spacious non electric grass pitches. You can find some great countryside walks with the Pennine Bridleway next door to the site, or venture out to Buxton just 15 minutes in the car. BBQs are welcome or the local pub is just a 15 minute walk from site.

About Sweet Knoll Camping
Situated in the Peak District National Park, this family run site is great for those who are seeking a countryside escape. Located next to a farm, the site provides a great taste of rural life. You can explore the local area with the Pennine Bridleway next door and Bakewell is within 20 minutes, or simply unwind and enjoy the fresh country air. The site offers a total of 50 spacious non electric grass pitches, suitable for tents and trailer tents, each measuring 10m x 10m. Pitches also enjoy picturesque countryside views with sheep as your neighbours! If you'd prefer to pack lighter, there is a fully furnished bell tent that sleeps up to four with a double bed and two camp beds with cosy bedding. Inside is a chest of drawers, sofa, crockery and cooking equipment including a hob, kettle and BBQ. Outside you'll find a fire pit and seating area. The site is also a great base to explore the rest of the Peak District's towns and villages, including the charming Bakewell just 20 minutes by car, stroll along the River Wye and of course, try a Bakewell Tart! Buxton is also 15 minutes by car and is full of Victorian and Georgian architecture and pretty gardens. BBQs are welcome onsite, perfect for al fresco dining in the evenings and open fires are allowed only in raised fire pits. Up to two four-legged friends are welcome to join you for your stay. Sorry, no dogs are permitted in the bell tent.
The site is open for weekends from July to the end of October.

Things to do on site and in the Buxton area
Just 15 minutes away is the village of Castleton. Visit the Peak Cavern, Treak Cliff Cavern or the stone houses of Hope Valley. If you are into your hiking, Mam Tor is 15 minutes from the site, passing through heather moors and reservoirs. You will be spoilt with views at the 517 metre peak.
If that isn't enough, the charming market town of Bakewell is just 20 minutes away. Enjoy a Bakewell tart sat along the River Wye or cycle through the Monsal Trail. Buxton (15 minutes) is fully of pretty architecture and gardens, great for a day of mooching.
Kinder Scout (30 minutes) is the highest point in the Peak District so enjoys fabulous views over the National Park so is worth the hike up, passing streams and stony paths to get to the viewpoint.
