About Blakebeck Camping Barn
Blakebeck Farm camping barn is situated on a small and peaceful farm at the foot of Souther Fell, with glorious views of Wainwright's favourite mountains, Blencathra (Saddleback) to the north and Helvellyn to the west. It's an ideal base for exploring the attractions of the Northern Lakes. The camping barn has three main rooms. Upstairs is a room with a wooden floor, stone walls, a large table and chairs and an open area for recreation (with ten mattresses to convert this into sleeping accommodation). The kitchen is also upstairs. Downstairs is ideal for bike storage and also contains a drying rack connected to the farmhouse central heating. There are also shower rooms each with a toilet and wash hand basin. Heating is available upon request by hiring electric oil filled radiators. One well behaved dog is welcome when a group has sole use of the barn. Due to being in close proximity to the farm house, the barn is not suitable for hen, stag or party groups.
