Really friendly and accommodating campsite owner. We were later arriving as M6 closed and we needed to register for the Windermere swim event first. Owner was fine about us leaving at 5am the next morning to get to the event.

Enjoyed our stay. Good view from pitch. Unfortunately, there was a power cut during our stay so shower block was unlit and shower cold. Lovely host, thanks Louise!

Really enjoyed our short break at Moss Side. We stayed in one of the rail cars, which was very well equipped and cosy - would definitely recommend this. Louise, the owner, was friendly and helpful, and we loved the numerous animals roaming around (goats, fancy chickens, border collies, and the horses in the field next door). Setting is beautiful, atmosphere relaxed (thanks to the lack of screaming children). Will definitely return.

Working farm and facilities in converted farm buildings (and not a lot of conversion) but completely clean and usable. Great views and Broughton village lovely, with great butcher, shop and bakery! Great little spot and would use again. Try it!

Lovely campsite with character. Have extra sausage ready for 3 gorgeous terriers who will sit and watch you cook! Site is not too big, not too crowded. Ground is flat and we had no trouble driving in and out on a very wet week. Beautiful surroundings. Get ready to meet friendly dogs, ducks, goats and lambs who will roam around, and visit the pigs in a woody pen nearby too!
An ideal location for exploring the Western Lake District and coast

A lovely camping area with great views located within a working farm, it has a compact amenities area comprised of a good toilet block, shower block washing up area and drinking water. Ideally located between Broughton and Coniston, it provides you with the means to pick up anything you may have forgotten to take with you on your camping trip, and also easy access to the Western Lake District and it's many activities, whether it be walking or sightseeing. I will certainly be visiting again and next time may leave the tent at home and use one of the camping huts that are in the field adjacent to the tenting area. The amenities are between the two, as they appeal to the lazy streak in me in that I can leave my tent at home. I fully recommend you try it for yourselves. By creating this great little campsite on their working farm they share with you an ideal location for exploring the Western Lake District and coast.

Really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it! We were really surprised how quiet it was given the fact it was a Saturday night. The location is perfect, the views are lovely and it had everything we needed. We loved the fact it was on a farm, it was lovely to see the lambs and goats running around. One thing to bear in mind with it being a farm is being woken up by the cockerel! (Which didn’t bother me really!). I would definitely stay here again, thank you Louise for a great stay.

It's about a 40 minute walk from a cute village and really lovely walks surrounding. Small dogs off lead and surrounded by horses.

A perfect retreat where gentle peace can be found amongst the trees. Utterly recommended if you're looking for somewhere to relax. NB: the dogs may look, and behave, and be, very friendly and sweet but do not be tempted to throw the rope. You'll be there for hours, possibly days. Also: prepare to defend your sausages from what is very evidently not starving small, white, mischief.

One of the loveliest campsites we have stayed at. Walkable to a local village, and all the attractions of the Lake District a short drive away. It's a working farm so there were lots of cute animals roaming. The view was stunning and the surrounding walks were too.

First time camping in our van, friendly welcome, told we could choose were to park then left to get on with our stay. The campsite is on a working farm. Being spring, we got to see the lamb's in the surrounding fields and as it had been wet weather, the cows were still in the farm building, including a calf. We had a 40 minute walk through beautiful countryside, passing sheep and horses in the fields and a scenic lake area along the disused railway to Broughton in Furness, were there was a cafe, pubs with food, butchers, post office, deli and garage. We had fun cooking outside and we're allowed a raised camp fire, we had taken our own, but wood was available to buy from the farm house. We had a visit from the farm dogs both mornings of our stay, 2 border collies and and three terriers, before they went on their rounds of the other guests, proper characters. So peaceful, we had a great night's sleep and the hosts were always available if we had needed them.
Fantastic location and a lovely host

We stayed in a railway wagon and loved it. A cosy log burner, comfy (standard double) bed and well lit. Tucked away on a working farm, it is basic but very clean and comfy, all we needed to be able to camp in October. Great powerful, hot showers, hot water washing up area, wood available to buy and a few ducks to chat to! A good location to explore the southern Lake District with thoughtful, helpful hosts.

The pitch we had gave us lovely views across the fields to the mountains in the distance. Lovely spot for star gazing. Facilities were very basic and very little in ways of places to eat/drink locally. Hosts friendly and helpful. There was wood for sale on site for an open fire which was good. Negative was the awful smell from a rubbish filled skip you had to pass on way to toilets and showers.
Definitely recommend
