Things to do on site and in the Biggleswade area
There are numerous lakes to fish from including the Match Canal and Blunham Lake which house some of the smaller residents and are fantastic match lakes, perfect for those who wish to get a bend in the rod and for those who are new to angling. Expect to find Carp, specimen bream, tench, perch, pike, roach and eels!
Damsel Lake offers a slightly more of a challenge compared to Carp and Becks Lake but the rewards for your efforts are fantastic. Damsel Lake has at least 10 Carp going over 30lb and hundreds of others, plenty which are in their high teens with the majority being between 20lb and 30lb. There is also a rather illusive Grass Carp present!
Winters Lake is only able to be fished on a 24 hour ticket but has some absolute stunners lurking in its depths! Some of the complexes biggest residents are in Winters Lake as well as Booney Lake. Affectionately known as 'Booneys' by all, this is the largest body of water on site and is predominantly naturally stocked fish from years of the River Ivel bursting its banks.
Biggleswade Town is 1.5 miles south and has some lovely shops to visit. Biggleswade Common is accessible by using the stile and bridge next to Blunham Lake and you are able to enjoy the expanse of the Common, using it to walk into Biggleswade town centre. The Common is home to all forms of wildlife but is also home to a number of cows.
