About the site

Your secluded getaway is only a mile from the village of Raglan and a handy driving distance from the famous Severn bridge. The sweet and romantic exterior of the hut opens up into a living area, kept toasty with underfloor heating and a wood burner that will add a lovely glow. There's a comfy double bed and a set of chairs positioned close to the sounds of your DAB radio. You'll receive a continental breakfast for the first morning of your stay and on other days all the utensils you need to rustle up something tasty are inside the hut. Outside the hut there are not only glorious views but a firepit where you can toast marshmallows or just relax in the evenings and watch the night sky.

Just a short ride will take you to the Brecon Beacons National Park where you can explore Tor y Foel and the Talybont Reservoir, plus many more lovely sights.

Raglan Castle is close enough to be seen from your base, so start your adventures by exploring its ancient walls and then wander the pretty towns of both Monmouth and Abergavenny, getting a flavour for the local area.

There are many more stunningly intact castles too, such as Abergavenny Castle set and Crickhowell Castle, which hails from the 12th century. The nearby Wye Valley AONB is set around a river that offers excellent canoeing or kayaking, plus wooded areas for walkers and cyclists.
