Tamar Lakes are set just outside the beautiful Cornish seaside resort of Bude. The 81 acre site offers a quiet and picturesque venue for families wanting to holiday in the South West and benefits from an onsite café / gift shop, children's play area, accessible 5km footpath around the lake and a wide variety of water sports through an Outdoor and Active Centre which is open seasonally.

Enjoy an outdoor camping adventure like no other. Tamar Lakes provides a unique camping holiday on the Devon and Cornwall border. The secluded setting of the site offers a great getaway experience for visitors, despite shops, beaches and restaurants in Bude being only a short drive away. During your visit you can enjoy the peaceful setting of two lakes and all that Cornwall has to offer. You'll have a choice of grass and hardstanding pitches, with electric and non-electric available for both tents and motorhomes. For those who prefer to glamp, there are hassle-free, cosy camping pods available. Dogs are welcome, provided they are kept on the lead. Sorry, no dogs in the pod

Site rules and policies
Dogs
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Fouling must be cleaned up immediately.
Sorry - no dogs in the camping pod.
General
Swimming and dogs in the lake are not permitted.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
Total silence must be respected between 11pm and 9am.
Pitches
Dirty water, rubbish and any waste must be disposed of in the indicated areas.
Please keep your pitch and the facilities tidy and clean.
Safety
Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Open fires are prohibited and any electric appliances used on site must not be faulty.
Vehicles
No vehicle movement between 11pm and 8am.
The speed limit is 5mph.
Things to do on site and in the Bude area
The site's large and open grounds ensure that children are able to run and play freely and there is a large pathway which circles Upper Tamar Lake, ideal for walking and cycling (plus suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs).
On site you can find tuition and hire for:

You can also launch your own craft through the sports centre.
Both the upper and lower lakes are popular coarse fisheries - and home to the Cornish record common carp, Biggles. Bring along your fishing equipment and see if you can catch her!
Within easy reach of Tamar Lakes is the popular beach town of Bude and the historic Cornish village of Boscastle. Less than an hour's drive is Wadebridge, Dartmoor National Park and the Cornish beach towns of Newquay and Padstow, where you'll find a lovely place to explore and try Rick Stein's Fish and Chips.
The Cornish surfing beaches of Bude and Widemouth are a short drive away.
