Exceptional campsite such a gem, absolutely loved staying here with my dog for a few nights. Super friendly, immaculately clean facilities and well spaced huge pitches. Fantastic location, you can walk straight onto the coastal path. Will definitely be back.

The Shepherd's Hut was situated in it's own field. The cows were around and curious, but kept separate by a fence. We had a fire pit and a small stove. It's really close to an off grid experience, quiet and picturesque. We didn't want to leave! A really relaxing break with lots of walking opportunities on the coastal path that you can join across the field from the campsite - great for exploring. Wonderful breakfasts and produce can be bought in the farm shop. It's a really lovely place and one I will be definitely coming back to.

The amount of space per tent is amazing, any other site would have put two tents in our pitch. The toilets, showers and wash-up areas are clean, the single, detached shower is brilliant. There are fire pits at each pitch, and a wooden burning pizza oven on site. There are a couple of hammocks hung in the trees. The site is on the cliff walk from Tenby to Manorbier, but out of the wind. There is a train track alongside the site, but the trains are low frequency and quiet. The farm shop is easily walkable for bits you need, but fairly dear, everything is artisan. The food in the cafe is great. It's a good base to get out around Pembrokeshire, see some beaches and castles. I love this site and intend to return.

Spontaneous birthday trip away did not disappoint. Tom was very welcoming on arrival and we were treated to a very quiet site in our particular dates. Toilet facilities extremely clean and shower was fantastic. Bell tent was an added treat and very comfortable. Fantastic location to coastal path.

Brilliant. Quiet, serene, beautifully green in both meanings of the word. Big group there at the weekend but they were completely quiet by 11pm - reasonable enough. Trains passing were interesting, not disturbing. Staff/ owners couldn't be better. Views and sunsets from the headland were spectacular. Highly recommended.
A week in a yurt with family

We stayed in the Barafundle yurt for 7 nights. It worked well for our 4 and 6 year olds who found it all so unique and exciting. The yurt is well placed by completely open space looking out onto green fields. Plenty of space for kids to run around and parents to go on stunning coastal jogs! Really nice that we had our own shower and toilet and the water was always warm. I especially enjoyed the wood burner and view of the cows grazing every night from my bed. We also loved the farm shop and café which served excellent food and coffee, and the opportunity to feed the animals was a massive plus for my kids. My only suggestions for improvement would be to have some spare sheets in a drawer as that would have been handy when my son wet the bed/spending a whole week there (I hand washed instead). Also some lids for the pots provided as it would speed up cooking times. Also, there was more noise than expected coming from the main camping area at night for such a small place, which was a shame. All in all, an amazing experience though and would come back again!

Fabulous setting with well set out tents. Great that there was a farm shop that also served excellent breakfasts and lunches. Site was close to Tenby and it was brilliant just to be able to walk out of the field and be on the coastal path. We were very pleased to support the Greener Camping ethos at Becks Bay and the personal touch of a visit from the owner was much appreciated thanks Tom.

What an amazing place. It helped that the weather was gorgeous, but it's in a fab location, tonnes of space, great facilities, lovely host, great farm shop and a café a short stroll away. A stone's throw from the coastal path, 5 mins drive to Tenby - just fantastic.

On arrival, Tom guided us to a lovely spot for our campervan stay. The location had coastal path walks along the Pembrokeshire way into Tenby and beyond. A lovely farm shop was 200 metres away. Recycling and being green is uppermost on this site and they do this simply and effectively. The toilets and washing facilities are clean, but the large shower made out of recycled materials is lush.

Stayed one night. As there was heavy rain and severe high winds, along with engineer trains running alongside, I pulled up my tent and left for home.

Lovely setting, spacious yurt with 'private toilet and shower'. Eco friendly, lovely site within walking distance of two spectacular beaches along the Pembrokeshire coastal path. No electricity as eco friendly but this wasn't a concern for us at all. Tom, the owner, was lovely and very accommodating. I think the only downside to this was the proximity of the yurt and the main campsite which was quite busy and noisy at night (not a huge problem for us) however for the amount we paid, I would have expected a little more exclusivity. Our yurt had its own private toilet and shower which was clearly sign posted however other members of the campsite were taking no notice of the signs and just helping themselves to them as and when they liked. Was the reason we booked and paid over £500 for 4 nights, so was a bit annoying people taking advantage, again no fault of the site or the owner just other people. Lovely place, thanks Tom!
Site's response
Thanks for your feedback, and thanks for staying with us at Becks Bay. Our camping meadow only has 14 pitches so we do not normally find much noise, that said a weekend in August can produce noise from guests sitting around a campfire etc. We have never had any issues with guests using the shower and toilet set on next to the 'Barafundle yurt', so thanks for letting us know - I offered to provide you with a lock for your facilities but you let me know that it wasn't really an issue. On the subject of pricing at £140 per night in peak summer holidays is very cheap for a yurt in the Tenby area. Our neighbours and other yurt providers do charge significantly more. Tom

Would highly recommend this site. Fabulous facilities. We stayed in one of the glamping tents. The bed was so comfy and although it was cold in the evening, the hot water bottles that were provided just did the trick and logs were provided for campfire. It was just perfect.

Tom is a friendly and accommodating host with a tenacious work ethic. The site is well ran, clean and contains everything required for a camping trip. The site is a field away from the Welsh coast path which allows easy walking access to beaches and local pubs. Would certainly recommend.
