For energetic walkers, there's a lovely route from Bracara through 6.5 miles of remote and rugged scenery along the north shore of Loch Morar to Tarbet on Loch Nevis.
Visitors will love taking a day trip over the sea to Skye and enjoying the Cullins at close quarters. Tours and tasting sessions are available at Talisker Distillery, too. The Ardnamurchan peninsular is a stone's throw away and is the British Isles' most westerly point, not to mention one of the most beautiful.
For the extremely athletic, there's even a chance to climb Ben Nevis! Finally, don't miss a visit to the the viaduct at Glenfinnan, which was famously featured in the Harry Potter films.
