They have their own secluded gardens and are the perfect place to relax in your private wood fired hot tub, or enjoy the countryside with all that North Yorkshire has to offer. For history lovers, both Harrogate and York are just a short drive away.

About the site
Having lived and grown up in the countryside, and feeling lucky to have done so, the aim of the staff at Waingates has been to share that wonderful experience with others. The huts offer a romantic and relaxing retreat that allows guests to get away from it all, with the peace and tranquility that nature brings - and all the luxury and comforts you need. Waingates Farm Huts are situated in the middle of a family estate and yet very easily accessed from the A1, so you can enjoy both country living and visits to historic cities and towns nearby. Almost any activity you can think of is available within a 30 minute drive. Each of the self-catering shepherd's huts has been beautifully handcrafted to exact specifications, and all are a spacious 20ft by 8ft. The huts are each slightly different, be it Eddero with its traditional day bed that converts from a sofa to a full king sized bed, or Tain with its bright orange Dutch tub. They all have an ensuite shower and fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. You'll also find a full size bed inside (double or king size) with luxury linen and robes, a wood burner, a coffee machine and TV/DVD player plus a dining table and chairs. The huts even have underfloor heating, so all you need to bring is food, drink and the bare essentials. You'll find each hut set within its own private gardens with private wood burning hot tubs and beautiful views over the surrounding fields. Each hut also has a BBQ, outdoor seating and a fire pit with logs supplied.

This luxurious, Nordic inspired hut sits within its own private garden, with firepit and wood-fired hot tub. Includes fully equipped kitchen and ensuite bathroom. Robes, fluffy towels and Bramley Natural Bath products provided for the most restful escape.
Tayter Ensuite Glamping Cabin with Hot Tub

As the slightly more modern sister of Peddero, this stunning Nordic Igluhut sits within its secluded garden, with a hot tub, chiminea and BBQ. Complete with a fully equipped kitchen, ensuite and extended living space, perfect for longer breaks.

We like to keep things as friendly as possible, so have very few rules, except that we ask guests to behave responsibly and be mindful of other guests.
We are an adult only site and as a general rule of thumb are not suitable for pets, however we will try to accommodate guests whenever we can.
Things to do on site and in the Roecliffe area
Visitors love watching the varied local wildlife or just sitting back and relaxing under the star lit sky in their own private wood burning hot tub.
The main activity is enjoying the numerous Yorkshire footpaths and bridleways that run through the farm, connecting many of the pretty local villages with their welcoming pubs and even running directly to Staveley Nature Reserve. Waingates Farm Huts are also on the Way of the Roses - a coast to coast cycle route - so a perfect space for keen cyclists!
