About the site

Ideal for guests seeking peace and quiet, these cosy, adult only huts are set alongside Lucker Bed and Breakfast, within half an acre of grounds with open countryside views over farmland. They are nestled in with fir trees behind providing privacy from the house and with open views from the stable door or balcony at the front of the huts. A wood burner is provided (along with free logs for two days) which makes for a very cosy atmosphere when nights are a bit chilly especially early spring and late autumn. There's no electricity in the Shepherd's or Woodman' huts, only tealights, which add to the special atmosphere for those looking to switch off. The Fisherman's Hut does have an electric supply for those seeking a little more home comfort. It also contains a small fridge and kettle as well as lighting. The double bed will be made up for your arrival with towels, bath mat and dressing gowns. Bedding is included as standard for high and peak season bookings, and can be added as an extra during low season. Or feel free to bring your own! As the huts are situated in a small village, there is a good local pub for evening meal, then you can come back enjoy the peace and quiet by the fire pit or sit out on your balcony watching the moonlit sky with a glass of something nice. With the huts being in the countryside, the WiFi or broadband connection may be slow, but perhaps you'll just want away from it all and switch off.

Lucker Mill Shepherd's Huts is open from 01/01 to 19/12 and 28/12 to 31/12.

A note from the site themselves...

We're striving to create a relaxed environment in the countryside, and have been enjoying the peace and quiet of our family run site since April 2020.

We're very proud of our hand built shepherd's huts, it's lovely to hear so many nice comments about them from our guests.

Our huts fit perfectly with the Bed and Breakfast in the main house next door, who have been in hospitality for over 20 years!

Shepherd's Hut - The Shepherd's Hut (Pet Free)Aug 2024

Cosy little hut! Toilet, shower and kitchen were very close by and very clean. We actually had sole use of them on our stay. It felt very private and secluded. Lovely spot, yet so close to A1. We didn't use the pub but it was very close and looked lovely.

Excellent Escape

Shepherd's Hut - The Woodman's Hut (Pet Friendly) Aug 2024

I loved it here, so peaceful and relaxing. Excellent facilities with only 3 huts that use the toilet and shower. There was kitchen with a fridge, kettle and washer, along with a great fire pit area. Would stay again with out doubt!
