Woodrow's top ten things to do on a May bank holiday
With two bank holidays to enjoy in May, it really starts to feel like summer has arrived.
But what are the best ways to spend your time?
- Go camping! This is our favourite idea of course!
- Attend the annual Cheese Rolling Festival at Cooper's Hill in Gloucestershire.
- Complete an epic walk on one of England and Wales' National Trails or Scotland's Great Trails.
- Enter the Welsh Stoneskimming Championships.
- See the magical bluebells - there are over 1,300 bluebell woods and walks in the UK.
- Visit Brighton Festival, the country's largest annual festival runs throughout May.
- Take a tour by bike.
- Fly a kite at Weymouth Kite Festival in Dorset.
- Try a new sport - coasteering, kitesurfing, hang gliding or mountain boarding perhaps?!
- And if all else fails, you always resort to whisky. It is Whisky Month in Scotland after all!
