For a museum of an entirely different nature, the Rum Story in Whitehaven offers a plethora of eye-catching sights that provide an entertaining day out for adults and children while providing great insight into the history of rum. Visitors can explore diverse attractions such as a recreated rainforest, an African village and equipment utilised by alcohol bootleggers during Prohibition in the USA.
Family-friendly fun that will chase rainy day blues away
Holidaymakers with a need for speed should zoom to Cumbria Karting in Barrow-in-Furness. Cumbria Karting accommodates children as young as six years old through to adults and provides excellent entertainment on four wheels.
