The parkland is home to a variety of flora and fauna and is perfect for both younger and older adventurers as there is plenty to see and do here.

Take in the superb views from the striking cliff tops, discover the delights of cave explorations, take a relaxed walk through beautiful woodland and keep an eye out for the weird and wonderful assortment of monuments on display. This place is amazing!

Ironbridge Gorge Museums

There’s no reason you can’t have fun while you’re learning and that’s exactly what’s on offer at the Ironbridge Gorge Museums.

There are ten museums to choose from, each of which has its own focus - such as the Blists Hill Victorian Town where you can take a stroll through a recreated Victorian town. Or you can discover the marvels of science and technology at Enginuity, head underground to explore the Tar Tunnel or pick your favourite from the other great Ironbridge Gorge Museums.

Stokesay Castle

Stokesay Castle looks like it could easily have been plucked off the pages of a fairy-tale and nestled very comfortably into Shropshire’s beautiful countryside.

This grand fortified medieval manor house has been very well preserved and today you can wander through the original great hall which has remained unchanged since it was constructed in 1291. An audio guide provides insight into the history of Stokesay Castle and a meander around the moat walk is a pleasant way to begin or end a visit.

Park Hall Farm

Whether it’s pouring with rain or a bright and sunny day there’s plenty to keep kids and adults entertained at Park Hall Farm. Loads of fun daily animal activities such as pony grooming, pig racing, feeding lambs and hand-milking cows are sure to delight.

The fun doesn’t stop there, however, with awesome indoor and outdoor play areas, the chance for kids to get behind the wheel with exciting driving activities, as well as three intriguing museums so nobody will be short of things to see and do.

The Adventure Rope Course

Fancy taking adventure to new heights? Well you can do just that at the Adventure Rope Course which is suitable for kids as young as eight years old all the way up to gran and granddad.

This is a great choice for families who like to get active, and there is a brilliant selection of rope course activities available, from giant swings and zip wires to climbing through the trees and adventure tunnels.

Battlefield Falconry Centre

There is nothing quite like the wild power and grace of birds of prey. At the Battlefield Falconry Centre you have the chance to enjoy an amazing animal experience that you will remember for the rest of your lives.

There is a choice of activities available here that are suitable for adults and older kids, such as hawk walks and bird handling sessions – though if you bring any youngsters with you they can still enjoy getting up close to these majestic birds.

Hit the hills on hooves

It doesn’t matter whether you were born to ride or have never sat on a horse before, as long as you’re keen for an animal adventure then trot on over to the Long Mountain Pony Trekking Centre.

Here you can saddle up and trek through the hills on an exciting family ride that is sure to be remembered for years to come.
