About Giddy Farm
Welcoming both families and dogs, this glamping site is the ideal spot to escape the modern world for a peaceful back-to-nature glamping experience. Surrounded by North Devon's beautiful countryside and within an easy drive of Croyde Bay and Woolacombe! Stargazing is fantastic at this site, thanks to the brilliant dark skies. There are just four bell tents onsite, some sleeping up to three with two single futons and a single airbed, and others sleeping up to five with a double futon and three single airbeds. The bell tents are equipped with thick mats, soft rugs and extra air beds that can be added for kids. Please bring your own bedding and camping equipment. Outside each is a picnic bench, fire pit and BBQ for relaxing evenings in the open, toasting marshmallows. Be sure to sit back and gaze up and enjoy the starry night sky above, you might even catch a glimpse of a meteor shower! The site is just a ten minute drive from the beaches at Combe Martin, great for days of swimming and sunbathing, or head to the harbour at Ilfracombe and stroll around the pretty town and shops. There is also plenty of space around for games, and be sure to say hello to the goats! Dogs are welcome in the bell tents, but please ensure that they are kept under control at all times due to working farms nearby. One dog is included in your booking, you may add an extra for a small fee. Campfires and BBQs are permitted in the provided fire pits. Firewood can be purchased onsite. Guests are advised to bring a torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
The site is open from 23rd May until 9th June, and then again from 27th July until 6th September

Things to do on site and in the Ilfracombe area
Guests can simply choose to relax around the site letting the children run in the grassy field, be sure to say hello to the goats too! Berrynarbor is just a five minute drive away with a community shop and a few pubs, for some more options Combe Martin and Ilfracombe are both within a ten minute drive. A wider range of shops and just about everything else is in Barnstaple just 30 mins away.
If you want to adventure out there are plenty of options for beach activities just a short drive away. Paddle boarding and kayaking at Combe Martin (10 minutes), coasteering at Watermouth (10 minutes), surfing as well as endless sandy beaches at Woolacombe (20 minutes), Saunton and Croyde (25 minutes). Adventure to beautiful Broadsands (10 minutes) if you have the energy for the 250 steps down!
There is more to do away from the beach with horse riding, foot golf, off road adventures and clay pigeon shooting all close by. Or, why not take a boat trip for fishing or wildlife spotting, or even go to Lundy Island for the day, all from Ilfracombe harbour. Be sure to hike the South West Coast path, walk on Exmoor and maybe encounter the ponies or cycle along the Tarka Trail.
